Gonna watch this show later but I really don't know how I feel about the direction they're going with the KOTR winners.

Jey really needed this W but i'm guessing they're gonna put The Uso's back together soon and then the OG Bloodline so they don't feel like he needs it. KOTR doesn't fit Tama, Orton is way too established for it and Gunther just came off a history breaking title reign.

I like Lyra but is she that special for such a push straight off the bat? I'd probably say no but I wouldn't hate it if it's just a way to potentially give her a title shot at Liv if she wins this weekend. Nia would be meh and Bianca clearly doesn't need it though it would be interesting if it played into a jealousy angle with Jade like they did with Edge & Christian back in the day but I don't see it happening.

I'm overall fine with Gunter and hopefully Orton being the finals but even if the goal is Usos teaming back up ASAP I'm still shocked they didn't have Jey in the finals bc I've been saying the whole time the reason I was predicting it is Jey/Tama being the only story they have between the brands available instead of just a more random finals. But that said Gunther/Orton is also miles better as a match and it's a borderline dream match that they can push as such (sadly will have less than 24 hours to build that though)

I kind of get an impression they don't exactly know what to do with Gunther for the foreseeable future because the WHC picture looks like it's going to be occupied with Priest/Drew/Punk and maybe Rollins

I think the plan is a Dragunov feud with no titles involved but they aren't gonna get to it until either Clash or SummerSlam time. I'm all for him winning now too just for the additional accolade to add to his legacy

That's also why I think it's a bit of a surprise they shipped Vinci over to SmackDown, that could have been a decent filler program with them kicking him out etc.

Yeah I'm not happy with that either bc they don't even tape Main Event with SmackDown so Vinci is just going to completely disappear unless he gets to do Speed

I honestly think that they just want to make Gunther one of the greatest superstars of all time so they’re gonna give him every accolade. And they also want to make beating him a truly special occasion and they’re not gonna have him lose in a “random” KOTR match on Raw.

Still if it was me personally I’d have had Jey win.
