NoDQ says on the article: (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

Bill Goldberg, who last competed for WWE in 2004, reportedly contacted Brock Lesnar about returning to the sports entertainment organization to work an angle with him. Lesnar, however, only has two major dates left on his current contract; Triple H at SummerSlam and whoever his WrestleMania XXIX opponent will be.

Imo, I think that Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg is a big money match and it'd be an interesting feud. And just because I'd also be interested in seeing Goldberg return for another run. Lesnar needs big names like HHH, Goldberg, Rock, Undertaker now to keep his momentum and spotlight on him going. But both guys are older now though so the match may not be that much better than their previous Mania match. Well if Goldberg sticks around after it, I think it will feel better since the fans know they won't be leaving straight after it. Meh, idc I'd be all for it as I said and Goldberg returning would be good. They could do it for a big PPV like Survivor Series if Lesnar is willing to work the dates and it's possible as both parties have the option to negotiate dates it said in the contract.

I'd also like to see Ryback face Goldberg whilst he is back.

That's IF he does return.

Did you guys not see their mania match? That shit does not need to happen again. If it sucked ass back then I shutter to think how it will do in 2012 with Goldberg having not wrestled a match in a very long time so you'll get a rusty and old Goldberg with a guy who won't mesh with so no thanks.

I would have to cap a mf'er.

I'm not against Goldberg, perfect guy for Punk to beat, but him and Brock sucked so bad that watching Austin ref was more entertaining.

While we are at it lets bring in Steiner to go one on one with HHH

I can see why Goldberg would want to do it because he wouldn't like the fact that the first Goldberg/Lesnar match was so bad. Whenever someone mentions Goldberg's WWE run this match always comes up and that would frustrate someone like him. Would be a good chance at redemption and at least we would know that there is no way they would have a match as bad as that first one. I would still rather see Rock vs. Brock, if Goldberg does want to come back for WM then give him another opponent.

I wanna see Goldberg back, but hell no against Lesnar.

Its not as if its any different to the last time either, they would both be leaving after it again.

Goldberg hasn't worked a match since 04, and neither has Brock really as he just used Cena for a punching bag and took like 3 shots. It can be worse

Goldberg was always overrated and was pretty damn shit in the ring, only good match I ever remember him having was against Scott Steiner at Fallbrawl where there was no script!

More interestingly... With only 2 major dates left on Lesnar's contract, does this mean he's only gonna wrestle once more past Triple H? Or they only talking major PPVs in general? Because Bill Goldberg vs Lesnar would always be a good filler PPV main event, something like Vengeance, just to bolster the buyrates.

Last time the issue was the way the match was set out, as an amatuer wrestling match rather than a pro wrestling match. It was completely the wrong style of match to book for two power houses, it was too slow and just didn't work at all. They will have learnt from their mistakes and wouldn't book the same match again.

I can't get pumped for this. But I suppose whatever Goldberg does will be at least tolerable, unless they plan to revisit his fued with Lesnar. That would a be a waste of time that benefits no one.

I don't buy that Goldberg wants to do it, he never had that much passion for Wrestling back in his heyday and from what I understand he now has enough money not to worry. Think he is happy to stay retired. Don't think someone like Brock should waste a match on Goldberg.

Other than his undefeated streak in WCW... there isn't much of anything that is that interesting about Goldberg. He is a guy that can pretty much only do short matches. His style doesn't allow him to have longer matches. He can't sell well at all, I mean Goldberg... yeah he has that burst of excitement but other than that... meh. Surely his match against Brock... IF they were to have another would be different than their train wreck from Mania XX, it would still suck. Goldberg just isn't that impressive unless he is running over someone. And only then he would be mildly impressive.

Why not? Because him facing Brock worked soooooo great the last time, you know with that 5 star match that stole the show at WMXX.

It will still be a slow drawn out match just this time more because of age. It would be just another disgrace of a match. I don't want to see Goldberg ever wrestle again.

IDK why anyone wants to see them face each other again. But if they became a tag team and R@PED everyone in the WWE aka the 2012 two man power trip i would be down for that.
