Wrestling Geek Fest Coming to Cleveland on August 14-16
WrestlingGeekFest.com - Wrestling Geek Fest, a wrestling pop culture convention, is coming to the Holiday Inn Strongsville, Ohio (near Cleveland), on August 14-16, 2015.
The convention features live wrestling events, vendors, special guests, late night comedy, and wrestling game tournaments. It’s a full weekend of wrestling geekdom sponsored by Filsinger Games, home of wrestling’s greatest games, and celebrating “Wrestling and everything we love about it!”
AIW (Absolute Intense Wrestling) presents Battle of the Sexes 2 on Friday evening, an intergender showdown between some of the best male and female wrestlers on the indies today including Johnny Gargano vs. Candice LeRae, Eddie Kingston vs. Mia Yim and Rickey Shane Page vs. Veda Scott.
The WGF Saturday Night Spectacular features Ring of Honor star and former NFL lineman, Moose vs. former Chikara Grand Champion, Eddie Kingston, along with wrestling stars including Paul London, Madison Rayne, Dalton Castle, The Nation of Intoxication, the stars of Olde Wrestling and more. Plus come dressed as your favorite wrestler and enter the special costume contest hosted by Leva Bates (aka NXT’s Blue Pants).
The convention itself will take place Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-3 featuring:
* Autograph signings and photo opportunities with wrestlers including WWE Legend Greg “The Hammer” Valentine
* Wrestling video game tournaments such as NES Pro Wrestling, No Mercy, and WWE15 along with Filsinger Games card game tournaments
* Panels on Wrestling Animation and Wrestling Video Games, Podcast tapings, a Trivia Contest and more
Late night Friday features a Stand-up Comedy show with headline comedians and wrestling geeks Michael Lawrence, Will Noonan, Martin Morrow and more. Late night Saturday after party features live wrestling music with Kenny Picket, improve comedy with Bryce Remsburg and more gaming.
