    I never found Meadow irritating. I think that certain subplots have to be developed in order to stop the show from being total-nonstop-Tony and Meadow's life was probably one of those things. I wouldn't say she's just a device to highlight his family issues, but as I just said, a subplot to run...

    Anybody who didn't get the end should google 'sopranos definitive explanation of the end'. I got it, and loved it. That article, or essay morelike, confirms just how great the ending is. And it obviously confirms it for people who didn't understand/ like it.

    The show is a masterpiece. The best of all time. I made a thread a few months back where I listed my 10 favorite episodes - I'd avoid it if I were you though, since it contains spoilers. Check it out when you finish the final season.
