Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

Wow a real dark horse winner but a deserving one nonetheless. Sick. Thanks for running this Crocker, I'm having a great time digging into the crates and really taking in some of these classic matches for the first time.

Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

The parallels between Flair/Sting and Hogan/Warrior are really fun. I don't know if I'm just a mark, but I think Flair/Sting is easily the better match, and I'm glad to see it finish at second place. Frankly satisfied that I tanked Hogan/Warrior down to the fifth spot. :lol

Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

Definitely one of those matches that stands out due to how phenomenal it is and how otherwise sparse the rest of Smothers and Armstrong's careers were, for the most part. Ending 4th on this list against some extremely stiff competition is nothing to sneeze at.

Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

Damn. Naturally I'm kinda surprised this ended up 7th. I had a chunk of tag matches ahead of this on my personal list and I feel like these two teams have better matches that cause me to not hold this one in quite as high regard. Damn good match regardless, just shocked it landed so high.

Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

For the record it was me who had it 3rd, not Jacob Fox. Also... what can you say? Flair in 89/90 is God tier. A level that few will ever match. This is hands down the best match Lex Luger ever had.

Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

I definitely feel I shoulda delved into more lucha libre before making my list. Having watched that Pirata vs. Faraon match earlier today, I can honestly say it probably woulda made my list in hindsight. And now I see Garbage has this Dandy vs. Azteca match as his third best match of the year...

Greatest Wrestling Match Of 1990 - The Countdown

So essentially we all had a match ranked 10th that none of the others included on their lists at all? That's a crazy coincidence
