Derrick Lewis says he's been talking with WWE.

The UFC heavyweight took part in a media day ahead of his main event fight against Rodrigo Nascimento on Saturday in St. Louis. The 39-year-old was asked about a possible crossover with WWE and responded that he's been speaking with the company for a few months now.

Lewis said:

Yeah, we actually in talks right now. We've been talking for a few months now. I was supposed to go down there in February to check everything out.
Lewis was asked what his finishing move might be if he was to become a wrestler. He responded:

It'd have to be something like Rikishi. Something like that, you might see it. Somehow, I like taking off my shorts so we might see something like that.

man this the dude who took off his shorts during a post-fight interview no?

Dude is a character and a half. I'd allow it.

Oh yea... this is exactly what the WWE needs right now. A character that drops his pants during matches. How could this possibly look wrong?

This is what I was talking about. Just an example of the dude being a character. I get what you're saying but it's not like that.

Here's another post-fight interview.

Dude also has the most knockouts in UFC History so it's not like he's a schlub of a fighter.

You're good, Troop. I didn't mean you, I meant his own words from the opening post.

Also it doesn't matter how good he's in a UFC Cage. He isn't automatically as good or fitting in a Wrestling environment. ... but this crossover stuff gonna happen a lot in the future now anyways, I'm sure.

oh it's definitely not a sure thing. But he seems to be someone that may take to it.

Cain Velasquez took to It down in Mexico and had sorta good matches but the one match he had in WWE was fucking horrendous, lol.
