Warner Bros. has announced that the new Lord of the Rings movie is titled Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, and it will be directed by and star Andy Serkis in his iconic titular role.

The film will be executive produced by Ken Kamins, with Serkis and The Imaginarium’s Jonathan Cavendish.

I'm confused at the purpose of a Gollum Movie at all? Granted he had the Ring for a long time but we know what happens, how he loses it, and where it goes from there so why are we doing a Film on this?

They also have another Film coming that is after 2026 when this comes out that gaisn my interest way more than this I must say. I'm a huge LOTR fan and the Story of my Brother buying the DVD from Walmart in the 5 Dollar Bin and me just checking it out means alot to me. I still find it funny me not knowing what this LOTR was after the Fellowship left me so frustrated like that is how it ends what is going on territory

Hollywood is out of ideas. It's all reboots, sequels and spin-offs no one asked for. They're even doing a third Finding Nemo.
