Episode #567

As the anticipation for their clash this Sunday hangs thick in the air, Chris Benoit, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, steps into the ring, the championship belt proudly slung over his shoulder. He begins to speak, his words resonating with the weight of impending battle, emphasizing the gravity of his upcoming defense against Triple H. Yet, before he can fully delve into his thoughts, the familiar strains of Triple H's entrance music echo throughout the arena, instantly igniting the crowd into a frenzy of excitement.

The Game emerges, his gaze fixed firmly on Benoit, a determined expression etched upon his features as he strides confidently towards the ring, microphone in hand. With each step, he exudes an aura of authority, a reminder of his status as a seasoned veteran and a formidable opponent. As he enters the ring, the energy in the arena crackles with electricity, the anticipation for what is to come palpable. Triple H wastes no time in asserting his presence, seizing the moment to interject himself into the conversation. His words carry the weight of a man who knows the magnitude of the occasion, emphasizing that their impending clash transcends mere championship gold. For The Game, this is about asserting dominance, about proving once and for all that Wrestlemania XX was a fluke and that he, himself reigns supreme in the tumultuous world of professional wrestling. As the tension between Benoit and Triple H simmers in the ring, the atmosphere is suddenly pierced by the thunderous entrance music of Brock Lesnar. Lesnar storms onto the scene, as the Backlash graphic of his impending SUBMISSION match against Kurt Angle airs. His presence commands attention as he strides purposefully towards the ring, a look of determination etched onto his imposing features.

With a microphone in hand, Lesnar wastes no time in inserting himself into the conversation, his words cutting through the air with the force of a freight train. He asserts that regardless of who emerges victorious in the upcoming title bout, they are merely placeholders for when he inevitably claims his rightful position at the top of the mountain.

Lesnar's declaration reverberates throughout the arena, sending shockwaves through the crowd and leaving no doubt as to his intentions. He boldly proclaims that after he destroys Kurt Angle and forces him to tap out, his sights will be set firmly on the World Heavyweight Championship. With unwavering confidence, Lesnar vows to leave a path of destruction in his wake until he stands tall as the undisputed champion of the world.

As Brock Lesnar's declaration reverberates through the arena, the mood shifts once again with the abrupt arrival of Kurt Angle's entrance music. The Olympic gold medalist storms onto the stage, his intensity matching that of Lesnar's as he makes his way to the ring, a determined glint in his eyes.
Grabbing a microphone, Angle wastes no time in firing back at Lesnar's bold claims, his voice dripping with defiance as he asserts his own dominance. He reminds Lesnar that he is not to be underestimated, proclaiming that he will emerge victorious at Backlash and make Lesnar tap out. But Angle doesn't stop there. With unwavering confidence, he turns his attention to the World Heavyweight Championship scene, making it clear that once he dispatches Lesnar, he will set his sights on the title. Triple H and Benoit, he warns, should be worried about him, as he poses a threat that they cannot afford to ignore.

The titantron flickers to life, revealing the authoritative figure of General Manager Eric Bischoff, his presence commanding attention as he addresses the electrified crowd.

"With all this talk of dominance and championship aspirations," Bischoff's voice booms throughout the arena, "it's time to see who truly reigns supreme in this ring." The crowd buzzes with anticipation as Bischoff lays down the law, announcing a colossal main event for tonight's Raw. "In the spirit of competition," he declares, "we'll witness a clash of titans as Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit team up to take on the formidable duo of Triple H and Brock Lesnar!" The announcement sends shockwaves through the audience, igniting a deafening roar of excitement.

As General Manager Eric Bischoff exits the scene, leaving the ring to the four competitors, the tension crackles like electricity in the air. Without hesitation, Triple H and Brock Lesnar launch themselves at Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, the ring instantly devolving into chaos. Fists fly and bodies collide as the four competitors engage in a ferocious brawl, each man determined to assert his dominance. Angle and Benoit, fight with a unity and precision that leaves their opponents reeling. With calculated strikes and seamless teamwork, they gain the upper hand, systematically wearing down Triple H and Lesnar. The arena reverberates with the sound of the crowd's excitement as Angle and Benoit clear the ring of their adversaries, sending a powerful message to the entire locker room. Standing tall amidst the chaos, they stare down at their fallen opponents, Benoit raises his championship high in the air as Angle is shown staring at the title. Scene is set for possibly the BIGGEST TAG TEAM MATCH in the history of Monday Night Raw.

As the dust settles from the explosive in-ring altercation, the backstage area becomes the focal point of attention. The camera pans to reveal Big Show and A-Train, two imposing figures, standing side by side with a shared sense of determination etched on their faces.

Big Show steps forward, his booming voice echoing through the corridors of the arena. "You know, A-Train and I have been watching what's been happening in the ring," he begins, his tone brimming with intensity. "And we've had enough of sitting on the sidelines."

A-Train nods in agreement, his expression mirroring that of his partner as he adds, "That's right. We're done waiting for opportunities to come to us. From now on, we're taking matters into our own hands."

With a sense of purpose, Big Show and A-Train make a bold declaration: they are forming a tag team, and they are ready to unleash havoc on anyone who dares to stand in their way. Their eyes gleam with anticipation as they vow to obliterate any team on the roster, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. However, there's a hint of frustration in their voices as they express their displeasure at not being included in the World Tag Team Championship match at Backlash. "But mark our words," Big Show asserts, his voice thunderous with conviction, "whoever walks out of Backlash with those titles better watch their backs, because we'll be coming for them."

“World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Continues”

Location: SBC Center - San Antonio, Texas

The segment begins with a video package from Smackdown episode #242 two weeks ago, showcasing Goldberg's intense promo where he calls out Stone Cold Steve Austin, setting the stage for an anticipated confrontation. The package continues to last week #243 when Stone Cold and Goldberg met face to face. Goldberg speared Austin after Stone Cold gave Shane McMahon a stunner. The camera then cuts to the arena's parking lot, where the sound of a roaring engine is heard. Stone Cold Steve Austin makes a dramatic entrance, arriving on his signature 4-wheeler, exuding determination and readiness for action. Wasting no time, Austin jumps off his 4-wheeler and heads straight for Goldberg's locker room. With a powerful kick, he breaks down the door, signaling the beginning of an epic encounter. Inside, Goldberg and Austin immediately engage in a fierce brawl, trading blows and grappling with each other. The intensity of their fight escalates as they move through various areas of the arena, including hallways, backstage sections, and even into the crowd, highlighting the chaos and animosity between the two wrestling giants. The situation takes a turn when Shane McMahon arrives with a security team, ordering them to break up the brawl. Despite Austin's resistance, the security personnel manage to separate the two combatants and begin escorting Austin out of the building. In a final act of provocation, Shane McMahon spits in Austin's face, adding insult to injury and igniting further fury in the Texas Rattlesnake. As Austin is led away, he glares back at Shane, vowing retribution and leaving the audience anticipating the next explosive encounter.

As the intense confrontation between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Goldberg reaches its peak, and Shane McMahon's shocking act of spitting in Austin's face leaves the arena in stunned silence, the camera fades out. The screen then transitions to the main stage, where the spotlight shines brightly, signaling the continuation of the night's exciting events. The energy in the arena shifts as the familiar entrance music of Edge begins to play. Edge, a fan favorite, makes his electrifying entrance, signaling the start of the next match in the semi-finals round of the WWE Championship tournament. The crowd erupts with cheers and anticipation, ready for the high-stakes competition that lies ahead. As Edge makes his way to the ring, the camera pans to the announcers, who hype up the importance of the upcoming match and the prestige of the WWE Championship. With the excitement building, the broadcast then cuts to a commercial break, promising the audience more thrilling action when they return.

Bradshaw covers, but Edge once again kicks out at two. Bradshaw, growing desperate, sets up for the Clothesline from Hell. He charges, but Edge ducks and counters with an Impaler DDT. Both men are down, and the referee begins his count. Edge, feeding off the energy of the crowd, pulls himself up using the ropes and positions himself for one final move. As Bradshaw groggily gets to his feet, Edge charges and connects with a thunderous Spear, nearly splitting Bradshaw in half. Edge quickly hooks the leg for the cover. But don't worry, I'll have a close eye on that match tonight."

Eddie nods, acknowledging HBK's words. "I get it, Shawn. You're one of the best in the business, no one is arguing that. As far as tonight's semi final match between Undertaker and John Cena, I want to make sure it's a fair fight so if you decide to get yourself involved ese i’ll be right there to stop it. Whoever wins this tournament needs to earn it. No shortcuts, no cheating." HBK smirks, looking Eddie up and down. "That's rich, coming from you, Eddie. All you ever do is lie, cheat, and steal. You stole that championship, and you know it." The tension in the ring rises as the crowd reacts to HBK's accusations. "But let me promise you something," HBK continues, "one day, I'm gonna take that title from you, by any means necessary." Eddie steps closer, looking HBK in the eyes. "You think you can take this title from me, Shawn? Well, I'll be waiting. Anytime, anywhere."

Chavo Classic, trying to maintain his composure, places a reassuring hand on his son's shoulder. "Listen, mijo, I know you're worried, but you have to trust me. I believe in you. This match at Judgment Day will be your chance to finally rid us of Rey Mysterio forever. We've fought and bled for this family name, and this is your moment to prove you’re the superior luchador in all of WWE."

Before Chavo Jr. can respond, Paul Heyman appears, his trademark smirk plastered across his face. "Excuse me, gentlemen," Heyman interjects, drawing the attention of both Guerreros. "I couldn't help but notice the... disagreement. And Chavo, I also couldn't help but notice that you got pinned by Paul London tonight."

Chavo Jr. glares at Heyman, but before he can retort, Heyman continues. "Now, I understand there's a lot of pressure with the upcoming steel cage match at Judgment Day, but let's not forget about the present. Next week, here on Smackdown, we're going to have a Cruiserweight Title match between you, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Paul London."

The crowd can be heard reacting with excitement through the arena walls. Chavo Jr. looks stunned, and Chavo Classic’s eyes narrow as he sizes up Heyman.

"Hold on a second," Chavo Jr. protests. "You can’t just—"

"Oh, but I can," Heyman interrupts, his tone firm. "And just to make things clear, win or lose next week, your steel cage match at Judgment Day against Rey Mysterio is still happening. Consider it... motivation to prove that you're worthy of being the Cruiserweight Champion and of carrying the Guerrero legacy."

Heyman gives one last smug smile before walking away, leaving Chavo Jr. and Chavo Classic to digest the news. Chavo Jr. clenches his fists, clearly feeling the pressure of the upcoming matches, but his father steps in once more.

"This is it, Chavo," Chavo Classic says, his voice filled with determination. "Next week, you take out Paul London and retain your title. Then, at Judgment Day, you finish the job with Rey Mysterio. We’ll show everyone what it means to be a Guerrero."

Chavo Jr. nods, his resolve hardening. "You're right, Pop. I’m not going to let Rey or Paul London get in the way of our legacy. Next week, I’ll prove why I’m the Cruiserweight Champion, and at Judgment Day, I’ll end Rey Mysterio for good."

Michaels manages to duck a right and sweet chin musics the WWE Champion square in the jaw. HBK slides in the ring and Cena immediately grabs HBK for a FU but HBK gets out of it and goes for a sweet chin music on Cena but he hits UNDERTAKER instead. HBK gets turned around immediately and gets hit with an AA. Cena pins Taker….

One…

Two…..

ThrNOOOO…

Taker kicks out at 2 just in the nick of time. Cena FU’ng HBK might have cost him valuable time. Cena, digging deep, pulls Undertaker to his feet and hoists him up for the Attitude Adjustment. With a roar, Cena executes the move, slamming Undertaker to the mat. Cena collapses on top of Undertaker for the cover. The referee counts: one, two, and Undertaker kicks out just before three! The crowd is in disbelief, but Cena doesn’t give up. He signals for another FU, determined to put The Deadman away. Cena lifts Undertaker again, and with a final burst of strength, he delivers a second FU. This time, Cena hooks both legs for the cover. The referee counts: one, two, three.

Winner:

John Cena

The bell rings, and John Cena is declared the winner. The crowd erupts in cheers as Cena raises his arms in victory, having overcome both The Undertaker and the chaotic interference from HBK and Eddie Guerrero. Cena, exhausted but triumphant, climbs the turnbuckle to celebrate with the fans, knowing he is now one step closer to the WWE Championship. As John Cena celebrates his hard-fought victory over The Undertaker, his music blaring through the arena and the crowd cheering wildly, the atmosphere shifts. Suddenly, the familiar entrance music of Edge hits, signaling his arrival. The crowd's cheers turn to a mixture of excitement and anticipation as Edge steps out onto the stage.

Edge, dressed in his ring gear and wearing a focused, determined expression, makes his way down the ramp, never taking his eyes off Cena. Cena, noticing the arrival of his next opponent, stands tall in the ring, ready for the impending confrontation. Edge reaches the bottom of the ramp and pauses, staring intently at Cena, the tension between them palpable.

With the roar of the crowd as a backdrop, Edge slowly climbs the steel steps and enters the ring. The two finalists in the WWE Championship Tournament stand face to face in the center of the ring, the significance of this moment not lost on anyone. The camera zooms in, capturing the intensity in their eyes as they size each other up.

The crowd's excitement reaches a fever pitch as the commentary team hypes up the upcoming final match of the WWE Championship Tournament. Both Cena and Edge know that next week, only one of them will emerge victorious, earning the right to challenge for the most prestigious title in the WWE.

With a final, intense glare, Edge backs away slowly, exiting the ring but never breaking eye contact with Cena. Cena watches him leave, the determination in his eyes shining brightly. The show fades out, leaving the world wide audience eagerly anticipating the showdown between John Cena and Edge in the finals of the WWE Championship Tournament.
