I've just finished watching the entire original series.

the excitement of seeing the X-Men I grew up with in the present time, is nostalgic. I cannot wait to see what the series unfolds as it continues the overall storyline.

I was trying that.....got to season 2.

Maybe I'm in a 2024 mentality but I never remembered the OG series being so slow and boring......I remembered more action tbh.

The thing is, I did watch the OGshow when it debuted and would watch it every Saturday morning on Fox.......this is why I don't like going back, what if something isn't as good as I remembered it.

I watched both Episodes that released today for X-Men 97 and boy it was incredible. What made the old show great in Tone, in Action, and Stoytelling continues so far with the 2 Episodes. They took some major risks in these two Episodes and I'm really looking forward to where it goes the rest of the Season. No spoilers but I really want to talk about with my Smarks homes.

I absolutely loved both episodes. This really brings me great joy for the show, to live up to the hype and see great storytelling unfold. This is gonna be a helluva roller coaster ride and I'm riding shotgun. I had to say that lol.

Storm protecting Magneto thus losing her powers for God knows how long killed me. They suckered us in after that heart to heart Scene Storm had with Jean because it happens the next day. Also Madelyne Pryor showing up at the X-Mansion

Those she took the bullet for Magneto, Storm losing her powers gutted me. Her falling from the stage, struggling to get up on her feet, desperate to feel moisture, it was very sad because she's one of the most powerful mutants of them all, and I mean all mutants. Though Beast say the loss of her powers is permanent, but I seriously doubt it.
With the talk between Jean and Storm, it was very touching.

Also, I did not know that was Madelyne Pryor that showed up at the X-Mansion lol

And to add, the Friends of Humanity aren't fucking around unlike the original series. They equipping themselves with Sentinel technology. Their leader, X-Cutioner, became a legit threat to the X-Men, taking the group down one-by-one and gave Cyclops a good beating.
