This year we will be doing both ranked and unranked games. That just means that ranked games will count towards the overall rankings and unranked games won’t be. It won’t be that strict, simply refer to the following criteria if you would like to host:

• If you want your game to be ranked, have it checked by an experienced player (doesn’t necessarily have to be somebody on the approved host list, but somebody that’s played a lot of games).
• If you are an approved host, your game will be ranked by default, unless you state otherwise

If you do not want your game to be checked, that’s absolutely fine. You’re still more than welcome to host, your game will just be unranked. Unranked games are there to give hosts freedom or take away the pressure of hosting. People will go into these games knowing the balance could be fucked, or the host is experimenting with different mechanics, or it could be a bastard game etc. Hopefully this will lead to them just being a lot of fun and being taken in the right spirit! Also bare in mind you could still get your game checked, or be an approved host and opt to have an unranked game so you can express more creativity or whatever!

I'm wondering if we should take a tiny mini-break first because Christmas Mafia was quite long, and gives everyone a chance to get refreshed.

Also, if anybody isn't planning on playing but would like to co-host and spectate, I'd appreciate it. Someone in a different time zone would be ideal. Mostly for vote counts when I'm sleeping, and I like having someone there to ask host type questions.

Nice. I did start watching this years ago, loved the first 2 seasons then started dropping off. I don’t even remember where I actually got up to haha, might have been toward the end of season 4. I should get back to it, think I fell off because I was moving house and shit. First 2 seasons were great, though. Thought s3 was a bit shite from memory

I could probably still host Twitch Mafia, although I lost my word document with the written up roles when I did a PC reset. I still have the set-up itself from an old DM I had with Smark. I may actually just take the set-up itself, tweak it a tad and do an entirely new theme around it, as I'm not feeling Twitch as much anymore.
