NEW YORK (AP) - FWA management is reportedly meeting with weaselperson and their PR team over controversial tweets that emerged the morning of their Meltdown XXVII appearance. Given that weaselperson still appeared on the show, it is possible that the meeting has yet to happen or that the meeting did happen but that a resolution was found behind closed doors to avoid any repercussions. Although this is only the first incident involving weaselperson, since they've just arrived in the company, there's certainly some weariness on the FWA management's behalf as to if this will become a headache in the future. With the likes of Shawn Summers in the company, fellow new signee Trevor Walker, and former star Dan Maskell, it's doubtful they want to add more controversy to their plate. We reached out to the FWA and to weaselperson's PR team for a comment but did not receive a reply in time for publication.
With many veterans retiring and departing from the company in recent years, it's no surprise that the maturity level of the company has also receded over time. It'll be interesting to see if notorious outsiders like Cyrus Truth and Mike Parr begin to take on more of a leadership role in order to steer the company in the right direction and bring the focus back to what matters, the squared circle.
Here's the tweet in question, judge for yourself whether the FWA should tolerate that sort of behavior within their company or if they should be stricter to prevent the souring of their image.
We'll update this with more information as soon as we have it.
