Just looking at this graphic I had a feeling, so I just checked the AEW website, and there are no longer refer to as bullet club gold either in the champions roll call or in the roster page under their unit. They’re now just referred to as the bang bang gang.

Seems like whatever hit impact and made them remove the bullet club reference finally caught up with Tony.

I actually like David a lot as a leader and the war dogs as a unit especially are clicking for me so I have defended them a lot, but it seems shortsighted because I thought the biggest impact the bullet club had against people that tried to say they weren’t still relevant was the fact that they had infiltrated virtually every US promotion but if you’re only going to keep them in Japan, you’re gonna actually invite more comparisons now than ever when all you have left is the version that’s in Japan.

Yeah I don't think it's beneficial to their brand but this is the same company that you can't post gifs of without the TV channel copyright striking your account so they're the kings and hampering their own exposure

I will say though if they decide to have war dogs feud with the bang bang gang at forbidden door and I hope that they do perhaps this will at least fuel that angle when Jay White brings up the fact that he’s not allowed to call themselves bullet club anymore, when they’re clearly more popular than David is.

I defended them for awhile bc I was like "it's the TV channel they probably can't do anything about it" but then they went back and deleted posts from years ago they made themselves bc people reposted it and then copyright struck those accounts themselves...for sharing videos NJPW tweeted first
