Episode Four

The show would begin with a Fatal Four way contest that would see Okada claim a win over Silas Young, Caprice Coleman and Eli Drake - with it being noted that Okada actually looked to be happy that he was working in America once again.

PAC would have his biggest challenge yet in the NWA, as he would be pitted up against Jake Strong and would go onto claim the win and maintain his winning streak.

A promo package would focus on MCMG and KOW, with both teams making it clear they felt going into this weekend that they were destined to win the match and prove themselves as the best tag team in the National Wrestling Alliance.

Sabin and Shelley would get a win over the Super Smash Bros, to put themselves in the right frame of mind ahead of their important tag team title defence at Thanksgiving Parade.

The Court of Avalonia would hold another court session in the ring, with Avalon introducing Player Uno and Player Dos as the newest members of the court. The pair were wearing much darker ring attire and were now to be known as the Legion of Smashdom.

The King of Wrestling would continue to be flawless, as they too would get their PPV preparation in with a win over Future Shock.

The show would end with the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championships being one the line with Christina Von Eerie and Thea Trinidad defeating Pink Energy to become the new tag team champions. The contest would be the best that the women’s tag division had seen since it returned from the grave.

NWA ERA - Episode Four

The show would begin with a detailed focus on Abyss career and how it was being reinvigorated by his new reign as the TV Champion.

Doug Williams would claim a win over The Beer City Bruiser, with the pair having had a rivalry in recent weeks - but this match being the first of the meetings that had actually been aired on TV.

Uhaa Nation would add a big name to his list as he would claim a strong win over Scott Steiner.

James Mitchell was being seen getting into a car to depart the arena only for it to explode into a fireball, as Abyss would be thrown back from the explosion as the car would continue to burn with Mitchell being incinerated alive.

Kyle Bukhari would get another big win to his name, this time claiming a win over Booker T.

The main-event would feature Beer Money Inc who were set to face AJ Styles and Abyss. However, after the explosion AJ would instead get a replacement partner and everyone would be shocked as it would be Ric Flair who would step into the ring with Flair and Styles getting the win to close the night.

The pay per view would begin with Ric Flair wrestling for the first time in a singles match since his ‘WWE retirement’ and do so against Jeff Jarrett. The match wouldn’t be filled with spots and remain technical, but would still prove to be an amazing contest with Flair claiming the victory (some critics were claiming the match was a five star contest).

The Court of Avalonia (Jake Strong & Legion of Smashdom) would recruit the Industrial Revolution to aid them in winning a ten-man tag team contest as they would claim a win over Murdoch, Alexander, Josh Alexander, Kevin Steen and Shark Boy. The contest would be exciting with everyone getting some time in the ring (where they previously hadn’t been booked) but with the clear intention of giving the Court of Avalonia the win, with Strong forcing Shark Boy to tap out in a leg lock.

A video package would focus on the Motor City Machine Guns, and as a tag team why they in many ways had helped make the NWA into one of the most attractive locations for tag teams as of late. The match itself against the Kings of Wrestling would be a fantastic match, with Castagnoli and Hero forcing Sabin and Shelley to compete at a higher level. MCMG though, would successfully defend the tag team titles and bring an end to the Kings of Wrestlings phenomenal winning streak in which they had beaten every other team in the tag division.

It was announced the X-Cup would take place during Thanksgiving Parade to crown a new X-Division Champion.

+++ ¼ Finals X-Cup +++

Jay Lethal defeated AJ Styles

Kyle Bukhari w/ Buff Bagwell defeated Christopher Daniels

Kurt Angle defeated Bobby Lashley

Matt Hardy defeated Uhaa Nation

+++++

The NWA National Heavyweight Championship would be put on the line in a contest between reigning champion Broken Demon and Tyler Black with both men pushing each other to their absolute limits only for the bell to be rung after thirty minutes in what resulted as a time limit draw. It was a great contest, with the audience clearly wanting these two men to lock horns once more.

+++ Semifinals X-Cup +++

Kyle Bukhari w/ Buff Bagwell defeated Jay Lethal

Kurt Angle defeated Matt Hardy

+++++

Becky Quinn would finally get her shot a the Women’s World Title as she would face champion MsChif, but the Irish Woman would suffer defeat yet again in her hunt for the gold with it being the sixth time she had lost a title match, with four of these losses coming at the hands of MsChif.

Kurt Angle and Kyle Bukhari would have a fantastic contest in the X-Cup Final knowing that the winner would depart as the new X-Division Champion. In a battle of old versus young, both men looked great but it would be the senior Kurt Angle who would win after locking Kyle in the Ankle Lock and forcing him to tap out.

The TNA Mega Championship would see Jeff Hardy and James Storm battle in a brutal first blood match, with Storm knowing that if he lost the match he would never get to face Hardy ever again for the title. Hardy would prove to simply be too much for Storm though, as he would bust him open with a shot from the Mega Championship to retain the title.

The Worlds Heavyweight Championship would be contested in a brutal match between champion Avalon and challenger Banderas with neither man holding back at all, desperate to get the other to stay down onto the floor. Ricky Banderas would shock the world, by handcuffing Avalon to the the a scaffold railing and proceed to pummel with him chair shot after chair shot after chair shot until Avalon simply could fight back and wouldn’t be able to get back to his feet meaning Ricky was the champion once again. Banderas though had a truly sadistic look on his face and after the contest would take hold of Avalon and Border Toss him off the entrance ramp and through some tables - adding insult to injury.

A steroid scandal suggests involvement from a number of NWA stars, but management refused to work with authorities and protected the workers.

ROH signed Albert Rogers from the NWA Development Brand.

Rumours suggest that TNA running as a separate brand, may be cancelled and NWA may choose to incorporate ‘Impact’ as a second show but with talent not exclusive to one particular roster. This could result in a number of releases and departures.

Mickie James, Jase Hicks and Afro Mask(Janet Barnes) all graduate from the training roster.

Following wrestlers are released from their contracts: Ariya Daivari, Hakim Zane, Brian Cage, Jimmy Jacobs, Pepper Parks, Eli Drake, Matt Taven, Shark Boy, Jessicka Havok and Serena Deeb.

The following wrestlers join the NWA training roster: Tara, Johnny Gargano, Heidi Lovelace, Cherry Bomb,

Kevin Steen would open the show by cutting a promo backstage, in which he would make it clear that since jumping ships from his former employer to working for the National Wrestling Alliance, he as of yet hadn’t had the chance to win title gold and that he intended on putting the rest of the the Shockwave roster on notice. Whether it was PAC, Broken Demon or Ricky Banderas he didn’t care - as long he got his hands on some gold it didn’t matter. As Steen would look to walk away from the camera though, he would be caught from behind by Broken Demon who would smash the National Championship into the side of Steen's head before dropping down onto the floor and whispering into Steen’s ear ‘you are not ready for this’.

The opening contest would see Adam Cole claiming a win over Shelton Benjamin, after the match Paul Ellering would try to attack Cole from behind only for Adam only to nail him the head with a Super Kick!

X0GxCPSY2RczrH94Q0STRnAI4w1XrEqta-Jkr8UgA_HAdUTiJ1ldzNSZ1ebGVqC-2-Tgf_Q0A4Pk6V3tIpCcDDCiBtj_1ffxFFDveuw4M8I-ttCB199XcWPU6KVrBupicMmC40Iy=s0

A video package was put together featuring the first female product of the NWA developmental brand - Afro Mask. Afro Mask would make it clear that she might have never had an official match in her life, but that if a loser like Kyle Bukhari could make a name for himself. Then she most certainly would, although unlike Kyle - she wouldn’t be sent away to work on a second rate show like TNA.

Becky Quinn had come off a disappointing loss to MsChif, in what had been another failed attempt to become the Women’s World Champion. And would find herself pit against her former rival's protegee SJB. To everyone’s shock, it would be SJB who would claim the shock win. With Quinn left disappointed, insult to injury would be added as SJB would take to the microphone in the ring.

e5mRxh16BTDGiy4SfOyjF_gVZ2bp1bH0bSy9pEOmXbDXHR9jFyKZs5GOJS-C_JYJU_lgwF9ainm6Sf7ER5NhlyNeD78v4znMlqgXQ87V5yAM_zlxoLoTMnYUL1Xlkd_KfTaXBGTA=s0

SJB would make it clear that she might be the youngest member of the roster and most inexperienced, but that for far too long certain members of the Women’s Division had been given preferential treatment. With a win over Quinn, she had clearly shown that she had a lot more to offer than being just another name on the board.

The Legion of Smashdom (who would be representing the Court of Avalonia) would claim a solid victory over The Fatu Family, with their dark and edgier look putting them across as more evil minded heels rather than comedy villains.

The show would close with Charlie Haas with Ellering his corner going one-on-one with former National Champion Josh Alexander. The match would prove to be a fairly even contest, until Ellering would stop playing by the rules and jump onto the ring apron. The distraction would allow Benjamin to attempt to get involved in the match, but Alexander would fight him off only for Haas to nail him with a low blow before stealing the win with the roll-up to close the show.

Jeff Jarrett would open the show and make it clear that the purchase of TNA by the National Wrestling Alliance, had been the difference between wrestlers feeding and not feeding their families - but would admit, that it was felt by many members of the TNA roster that they were playing second fiddle and that the legacy of what TNA had been was more important than trying to keep something alive just for the sake of it. Quite fittingly, the next PPV was called ‘Into The Fire’ and Double J would make it clear that is exactly where TNA was going to go - as it would be finally laid to rest. He would admit that he didn’t know what would happen to the championship belts, but it seemed that the Impact would carry on running on a weekly basis - but that it would be done with one complete NWA roster in place.

Jeff would remain in the ring as he would open the night by claiming a victory over AJ Styles. This would be followed up by Abyss successfully defending his TNA TV Championship, against the far less competent Korey Chavis. It was perhaps - the fact that TNA were relying on bottom of the barrel NWA talent to bolster their shows, that was one of the main reasons it had been decided that the roster would merge into one.

j-yg1uLoAjG1mP73mUKyTQ4axla14gjPPnm3HPXpTzzNFDOVvemgMuVTqvY_WH1GieVhp6KmDd1yvbQx4Okr5I4a5D4T-XicgXhwmHxldHi9BGZN6DXW1ojZwjQ2g6x1XV3_kkSM=s0

Ric Flair would cut a promo in the ring, where he would make it clear that Jay Lethal was a miserable, good for nothing, son of a gun and that one of the main reasons he had come out of retirement to teach low life ungrateful little bastards a lesson in respect. It was a strange take - because it was clear that Flair was the heel role, whilst Lethal was one of the most clean cut babyfaces on the roster. Flair would make it that people should be more like TNA Mega Champion Jeff Hardy. Hardy would come out from the back, and proceed to successfully dominate Bobby Lashley in a fairly comprehensive singles match.

gezYbxQGYXQLtilR2KG5__dGjiRdzpVXh_ISL-Kflm0jyya7osrQlZdH7duxVB5lEb--Wy1B5iCjMQ3nnRXmVOrFOwrH9MBgii5BBxbnbxxsoXf-gaANnRzKSpozbXTvLu8jg4m0=s0

After the bell Hardy and Ric would start kicking the crap out of Lashley, only for Lethal to emerge from the back - but he would be attacked from behind by Matt Hardy. Before Hardy would join Jeff and Ric in a three on one assault of Lashley. This beatdown would be interrupted by Kurt Angle though would storm the ring and toss Flair out of the ring, nail Matt with the Angle Slam before taking Jeff in the ankle lock and forcing him to tap out. Kurt looked phenomenal, but would eventually let Jeff go as he would be pulled out of the ring by Matt and Ric.

Jeff Jarrett would end up booking an eight man tag-team contest to close the show, by putting a lot of mixed elements into the contest. A team comprised of Sting, Kyle Bukhari, Mr. Anderson, Ric Flair with Matt and Jeff Hardy both at ringside, would manage to claim a win over Beer Money Inc, Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal. Although, the fighting wouldn’t stop after the bell - with the brawling actually continuing as Impact would go off the air.

Former NWA UK Hammerlock and current NOAH wrestler, Zack Sabre, Jr. is believed to have signed a contract with the National Wrestling Alliance, and expected to make his debut in 2012. When asked if he rumoured were in fact true - sources indicate that ZSJ acted like he didn't understand English and only replied in Japanese.

yeah - i never expected Peter Avalon being the main reason, why NWA/Championship Wrestling From Hollywood - became a major play in this game. [I know its JOW and not TEW - but I still can't get over the madness, its a shame TNA as a separate isn't working - but managing it as a separate brand is out of my ability]

Tbh even with the more outlandish stuff happening I feel like you're writing it in a believable way lol it doesn't feel like I'm reading as much of a JOW game, especially the more it goes on

Well if you don't add your own interpretation on JOW - it gets staler than a May Valentine interview

The former Worlds Champion, Peter Avalon would escort Melina to the ring ahead of her match with Velvet Sky. Avalon would make it clear that Jake Strong was his right hand man, and that the Legion of Smashdom were the brute force that every king needed - but that behind every good man, stood a good woman. Avalon would make it clear that Melina over the next few months would have to prove that she deserved to stand behind - moving forward. Melina would begin with a good first impression, earning a spot in the Court of Avalonia with a solid win over Velvet.

After the match, Velvet would be helped backstage by Energy! members PAC and Angelina Love, as well as Jase Hicks - who were assumed to be the newest member of the unique faction.

Afro Mask would make her in-ring debut, but her hype train would fall on deaf ears as she would be handed a horrific first match in the form of Awesome Kong. Kong would claim the win, and perhaps send Afro Mask back to the drawing board thinking she would be able to turn up in the Women’s Division without having to earn her place.

MsChif would cut a promo and make it clear that she wanted to make a point this week, and offered Angelina Love a chance at her title on this coming week’s episode of Extra.

GcrzoR_uqVA4f-l8FHsHQKEoPXQ0QSIMk9CRTN9G3W2YpZdrU2t_faZ2KtXQO3XaE_4mRKKBMw0poTgy5Cxr54fASF-XMhPFZUynZCjLpttAnzzL9EGycs6jYiDuvFb0Su4r70kX=s0

Truth Martini would escort the Kings of Wrestling out from the back and make it clear that despite what had taken place at Thanksgiving Parade, there was no denying that Hero and Castagnoli were the most dominant tag team in the NWA - and that MCMG had simply got lucky at the PPV. However, Martini would issue a challenge that the champs come out from the back - and face the Kings in singles action. And would even allow the Guns to pick their opponents. Truth would then state that if his boys weren’t able to beat both Shelley and Sabin - then they would willingly step aside and let another team challenge for the title first.

MCMG would answer the call and accept the challenge, with Chris Hero getting a victory over Alex Shelley and this would take place cleanly without Truth or Claudio play interference. The second match though wouldn’t go in the fashion the challenger would have wanted as Sabin would hit the Cradle Shock to claim the winner. This would trigger a mass fight in the ring, between both teams and despite the Kings having lost their stipulation the bad blood between both teams were very much there for all to see.

ud4-4nvm0_4DArLD2-inUK9te-OmXu-IImInLgDeTtWLZV6EX7eUu4AsCApp1pvjIajESFEmSqDvexMYoH5jK68WSTMxuzmq_L0PPSXKTRdi5pJpQAE7lhFs0olO8BiL3T53Xb0-=s0

The main event would see NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Ricky Banderas take on Tyler Black in an epic non-title match, which would last past the twenty minute mark. The match though, would result in a double count out after Banderas would nail Black with a Cutter that would send both men through the announcer’s table - but with neither man able to to get back into the ring in time it was declared a no contest. One thing was clear though - and that was Tyler Black was more than capable of squaring up with some of the best in the business.

Although it wasn’t usual practise for anything other than matches to be shown on Extra, following Angelina Love becoming the new champion she would cut a short promo backstage. Angelina would make it clear that MsChif had underestimated her - which was her biggest mistake and that people saw her turning over a new leaf and being a good person as a sign of weakness - but would make it clear that she had only become stronger as she had surrounded herself with good Energy! (a cheek reference to the faction she was part of). She would then make it known that the group has now held all of the women’s championship belts in the NWA - and that PAC and Jase were only just getting started on their journeys to the top.

NWA ERA - Episode Six

The show would begin with Booker T and Sting having an all out battle in the ring, but towards the end of the contest Samoa Joe’s music would start to play which would cause a distraction and for Booker to connect with a Scissors Kick to the back of Sting’s neck to claim he would win. Booker would be quick to exit the ring however, as Joe would finally finish his walk from the back that resulted in a ringside brawl between and Joe that would have security appear from backstage to pull both men apart as there clearly was an intent to prevent the police being involved for a second time.

Bobby Lashley and Uhaa Nation would team up and claim a tag team victory over Bukhari and Abyss. After the match, Father James Mitchell would appear on the titantron as all the lights in the arena would dim.

James Mitchell would look less than healthy, but it was clear he was recovering from the attempt on his life. Mitchell would make it clear that until he found out who had tried to kill him - it was Abyss’ job to punish everybody and everyone, starting right now. Like a switch being flipped Abyss would grab hold of Uhaa Nation and nail him with a Black Hole Slam, nail Lashley with a Chokeslam before turning on his partner Bukhari and laying him out with a second Black Hole Slam doing his infamous arms cross taunt as his music would start to play.

AJ Styles would come out from the back and make it clear that as much as he had loved working for TNA over the years, after his chance to make a name for himself with WCW had been robbed so many years ago. The merger with the National Wrestling Alliance though was something he saw as an upgrade with the added bonus that Jeff Jarret would no longer have any say or control whatsoever that could affect his career moving forward.

The main-event would continue the Kurt/Jeff and Ric/Lethal feud with a six-man tag team match taking place. Samoa Joe would join Kurt and Lethal to take on the Hardy Brothers and Ric Flair. It would be the team of Angle, Lethal and Joe who would close the night by claiming the win with all three men pairing off and closing the show by staring their opposite numbers down.

Episode Seven

The show would begin with Madison Rayne standing in between Player Uno and Player Dos. Madison would make it clear that she had taken on the role of becoming the Legion of Smashdom's manager, although would make it clear that she wouldn’t become a member of the Court of Avalonia until she had given me the objective of helping the team reclaim its spot at the top of the mountain. Madison would accompany Player Uno to the ring as he was booked to partner Jake Strong take on the Future Shock. Madison would prove to be play her role to the best of her ability, with the Court of Avalonia claiming the first win of the evening.

Becky Quinn would cut a promo backstage, where she would make it quite clear that as much as she disliked SJB as a person - she had to give her the respect as an opponent. Quinn would make it very clear that the next time the pair met, the match would go very differently.

Jase Hicks and PAC would tag-team with the pair officially being announced as Energy! with the two men getting a tag-team victory over AC United, with Hicks getting Alexander to tap out by way of an arm bar.

Chris Hero, one half of the Kings of Wrestling would cut a promo backstage and make it clear that Shelley and Sabin were cowards if they didn’t agree to face him and Claudio again at Into The Fire. Hero would reveal that he had heard both teams were involved in some large five-on-five match later tonight - but the King of Wrestling would just use it as an opportunity to legally beat the crap out of Sabin and Shelley.

The emoWarriors would defend their Women’s tag team belts for the first time against the former champion Pink Energy! Von Eerie and Trinidad would retain their belts, but it was clear that an interest in the women’s tag division just wasn’t at a level the NWA would have wanted it to be.

Josh Alexander and Broken Demon would be involved in a scuffle backstage, but both men would be separated by other members of the locker-room before it could escalate into anything more serious with both men set to take part in the main-event.

The main-event of the evening would see Broken Demon, Ricky Banderas, The Kings of Wrestling and Afro Mask w/ Truth Martini in their corner taking on Josh Alexander, The Motor City Machine Guns, Awesome Kong and Tyler Black in a Lucha Rules tag team contest. The KOW and MCMG though would spend no time at all in the ring, as the two teams would instead battle it out at ringside for the entire contest. Some interesting action would come from Afro Mask and Awesome Kong with neither female wrestler scared to tangle with the men, but the match would end with Black nailing Demon with the Curb Stomp to round off the evening.

NWA ERA - Episode Seven

The show would begin with a short documentary piece on Kurt Angle, and why for many he was considered as one if not the greatest wrestler to wrestle for TNA. It would end with Angle, making it clear that Jeff Hardy had made a mockery of the TNA World Title - and that he intended to do everything in his power to make sure the title was given the burial it deserved at Into The Fire. He would reveal that the X-Division would never die - and that he intended to make sure that 2012 was the year that the X-Division Championship was recognised as one of the most important belts in professional wrestling.

In the first contest of the night James Storm would claim a fairly comprehensive win over Doug Williams, with it never looking like the Cowboy wasn’t going to leave with the W by his name.

N2i-4DGW8uR4aaUQeRBPtRkeMCCkwOj0GNiQUHxcRb2ohWWg4ykyt5sN6yDm9hJW3ycqKBDwisCVoC7CMVY4MfeVsAuM1tyn6kl77dbG_nIicQ6DEt8cdEcJEhK4Qutg3s1zS7B1=s0

Jeff Hardy would assault Kurt Angle backstage by launching off a set of boxes and landing on top of Kurt with a death defying Senton! Jeff would get up, although it was clear that the attack hurt and would make it clear that the only titles that the NWA were interested in was the Mega Championship - and that he intended on throwing the X-belt in the bin once he was finished with Kurt at the PPV. Jeff would then proceed to make his way to the ring and claim a fairly easy win over Kory Chavis, before seeming to make an example of Chavis by nailing him with multiple chair shots in the ring post-match.

Sting would be the second person to be attacked backstage, and this would be done by a man wearing a Sting Mask - although the identity of the attacker would not be revealed.

Despite the fact that he had taken a severe beating earlier that evening, Kurt Angle would still successfully defend the X-Division Championship against the challenger of Kyle Bukhari. It made Kurt look even more impressive, and a real threat with just over a week to go until the end of the official road for TNA.

In a main-event that almost felt like a throwback Sting and Ric Flair would team up with Matt Hardy in their corner to take on Jay Lethal and Samoa Joe. The multi time world champions would show that age is just a number (with their average age being double that of their opponents) to claim an important win to close the show.

Melina and Mickie James would open the go-home show with an interesting singles match, with Peter Avalon continuing to scout out Melina as a prospective member of his court and would look impressed as she would pick up another win. After the contest she would take to the microphone and make it clear that she was going to feature at this weekend’s coming PPV one way or another, and that she expected the management group to pull their finger out and book her in a match or else.

sgOqtK3yjM2ALrJFBgR4RNlZwUCjstgKGGkWJPV-0hM26dOLqIb2gS-XqSWWlo1XUdPExdmXwc8AawwW9YpzvqDvdIl6AnPZWMc8A9OzLgxieS0g-ndcXyAwogU-xfpzIPCikCSe=s0

Silas Young would shockingly attack Kazuckida Okada from behind with an electric cable and choke out the hot Japanese prospect before nailing down onto the hard floor with a Reverse DDT! After this attack Young would cut an impromptu promo where he would make it clear that Okada was no longer on excursion, where he was being protected and facing nobodies. Silas would make it clear that it was his job to toughen up Okada, and make sure he didn’t turn into a piece of crap greenie like Kyle Bukhari who had amounted to nothing. It was almost as if Young was taking on the role of Okada’s mentor, in a strange sort of manner.

We would return to the ring where SJB would carry on to impress with a win over Tenille Dashwood. It must be noted that Dashwood hadn’t been featuring on TV as of late, and despite the loss it was good that she was still being given airtime.

Peter Avalon would come to the ring by himself and issue an Open Challenge to anyone in the back, with Adam Cole of Future Shock answering the call. Cole would put on a good show, but it never looked like he was going to win until Murdoch would appear from out of the crowd and distract Avalon long enough for Cole to connect with a Super Kick to steal the victory. This, not surprising anyone would follow up with Murdoch and Avalon brawling in the middle of the ring, with Avalon being quick to exit the ring when it looked like it was about to get nailed by Murdoch. Murdoch, though, would ask for a microphone.

FTE-5rel7_HX7-ftvcv6UumF2LeRCfMFQOqgdExqzOh9Vpsn4o1NUtKT9zs8rB7pQLF7j3C8-xeYqo12HlQZkT1FjPDYjBf3VsmAk12oBU0j-AZQUV7gRQwRZpSdB9MoxPh-ZP93=s0

Murdoch would make it clear that he was the man that everyone forgot. He was the ‘nearly man’ of the National Wrestling Alliance, but that eventually he would have his moment under the spotlight. He would make the point that Peter Avalon had been making a joke out of him for months, but he intended on ending the year by kicking the crap out of Avalon and making an example of him once and for all.

In a string of tag-team matches that were clearly tuneups ahead of the PPV, the Kings of Wrestling would claim a win over the Fatu Family whilst The Motor City Machine Guns would defeat The Nastier Boys to finish the show - but not before Alex Shelley would take ot the microphone and make it clear that the MCMG didn’t just intend to beat Hero and Castagnoli this week - but they were looked to hurt them as well.

NWA ERA - Episode Eight

The night’s show would officially bring a conclusion to TNA Impact - with the show very much being the final official episode. Although many fans, perhaps rightly so in some cases, felt that TNA had died when they had been purchased by the NWA and that these past eight weeks had been nothing more than a transition period. It had been confirmed that Impact would continue to run as a show though, and would do so under the ‘NWA ERA’ title but simply be known as Impact. This decision to keep the name still had mixed feelings though. One thing that would be announced though, and that was that the NWA intended to use the six-sided ring on Impact programming and felt that have two very different environments for their wrestlers would really challenge them all to their fullest potential.

p2HiMYHIY-dWSa_8QpxQnETkh0ujepvKvp88Mm4kQJCkF3PjFGlDip25xtlTegV9dTdwSNNeuHedGJkUtcfKrTwB7kXNltPUbi1HZjEyvglcbfMzxp-rJMG0h3fWKV-PBdX9OHqH=s0

Ric Flair would be booked to face Kurt in the night’s opening contest, but Flair would demand that Kurt show him some respect and that he put the X-Division title on the line. Kurt would oblige, and despite Ric gaining inferences from both Jeff and Matt, it would be Kurt who would manage to navigate himself out of a Figure Four Leg lock and instead reverse the hold forcing Ric to tap out by his own finisher.

In the next contest AJ Styles would impress with a win over James Storm, before seeming to break kayfabe and shaking hands with all the fans in attendance clearly feeling sombre about TNA coming to an end.

XJeuW-bOhtts1ghgh6fFroGZATkNR7tynvpAk1Jlh4dus0QDN17iq8JWZSvU4WL3ytO1rmcdCallHVRli7-y1lyXSKN4L2wAQXs-OMRxgHGyz3Bn6Ghxo_DaQmWzbgIpSQwDjeB9=s0

Samoa Joe would cut a promo, where he would remove a Sting mask and make it clear that he had in fact attacked Sting on the previous show. Joe would make it clear that Sting was a bad guy and old guy and someone that needed to retire before someone hurt them badly. Joe would offer Sting the chance to retire tonight, after he would be forced to beat him to within an inch of a life and put him on the shelf for good this coming weekend.

Jeff Hardy and Jay Lethal would have a great match, with Jeff seeming to play with his food and not finishing off Lethal on a number of occasions and instead would showboat to the fans. This would allow Lethal to recover and offer a solid counterattack much to Jeff’s surprise. Both men would look annoyed however, as the ring bell would be rung signalling the match had run out of time. Something felt odd about this, and whilst the referee went to check with the timekeeper Flair would enter the ring and crack Lethal from behind with the ring bell, leaving him in a pool of blood on the canvass as he would hurry back with Jeff in tow with it seeming as if he whole match had been nothing but a ruse for Ric to blindside Jay Lethal.

The final episode of TNA would end with Abyss defending his TV Championship in a 20-man Battle Royal featuring the majority of the roster. The match would prove to be a great spectacle and give everyone a chance to represent TNA one final time, but it would be Abyss who would be the last man standing and would finish in possession of the TV Championship.
