STAMFORD, Conn., April 22, 2024 – WWE®, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), in partnership with UFC® today announced that NXT Battleground will emanate from UFC APEX in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 9. This marks the first-ever WWE event to be hosted at the state-of-the-art, 130,000-square foot event and production facility, which is home to UFC Fight Night events, Dana White’s Contender Series and more.

"We are always exploring new frontiers to showcase NXT and we are excited to bring Battleground to this world-class event and production facility in partnership with UFC,” said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.

On a Sunday so I'm assuming that Saturday we'll have the usual UFC apex card. Well maybe they'll actually schedule a good one that weekend instead

That’s pretty fucking huge. I’m sure it’ll be a stacked card just for the occasion

Idk what's so hype ngl the Apex sucks and holds less people than any non PC venue NXT has been to, and certainly less than the original arena this event was planned for.

It just lets them cut costs, maybe the presentation will be better than the UFC does tho bc if not the loudest thing in the arena will be Vic and Booker (fighters have actually adjusted during apex fights bc they heard color commentators say thing)

HELL IS NOT A MYTH
UFC's utilization of it sucks, but I'm sure NXT will be pretty cool there. Nothing to go nuts about at the same time though.

It holds more than the PC does technically which is kinda shocking by the setup they normally have but it would be a cool weekly show place. I doubt that's in the cards too unless they're moving the entire PC tho bc the whole point is the trainees work TV without having to travel while they're training

I'm gonna guess they don't have one on Saturday because I saw a pic of the Apex for the first time and that shit looks mega basic and like it would need some switching up

Yeah just checked and Saturday that week UFC is running a Fight Night out of a real arena elsewhere thankfully. Maybe this will convince them to actually open up their Apex shows to a crowd too if this does well bc they wouldnt be so bad if people were actually there

From what I heard once they sell like tour packages for the entire facility (which are probably expensive) and if you're there for that you can attend the Saturday event if there is one that week
