The only two guys without an offshoot BC branding really might just be the most effective guys in the unit.
(Bone soldier too but he’s not doing as well)
Considering this is the BC anniversary show, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a lot of BC pick ups on this and then they just lose them at the Dominion show.
I’ve heard a lot of speculation on that prior to the loss here that he was probably going to lose because of it. The AAA doesn’t play well with other thing seems to be legit thing.
Also the CMLL of it all as well with partnerships.
That being said, it really wouldn’t surprise me if regardless, the plan was always to give the belt back to the leader of the bullet club at the Dontaku event because of the anniversary stuff.
I think my theory of having two non contracted talent holding belts being a bad look is a more likely thing. Or he's signing with another company soon (TNA has a workming relation with AAA)
I’ll be honest, though, if given all of the options him beating Alberto, and keeping the belt away from him, is much better, and not only because of current day stuff but it’s just a great full circle moment for him.

Yeah Nemeth was originally only booked against Tanahashi and yesterday and Finlay was in a multiman today until the attack and challenge after the Tanahashi match.
Ya n I swear the original booking was winner of tsuji Finlay got mox next...plot thickens
I’m definitely leaning on the AAA thing. I’ve heard so many stories of how petty that CLL and AAA stuff is and I’m sure new Japan wants no part of it.
That Mexican rivalry honestly makes the WWE and AEW stuff pretty tame actually.
