1. On the topic of princesses... Peach, Daisy, or Rosalina? Or are you one of those weird people who would pick Pauline?
2. Least favourite Canadian province/territory?
3. Where did you get all those plushies you have?
1. Honestly Rosalina has been earning some favour, but I also like Daisy, her and Luigi are a wholesome pair.
2. I can't say too much in terms of living/being in there but in terms of stuff I know of their province and places I'd likely not want to life, I'd lean towards Alberta. Their oil obsession is fucking us over, they are probably the most conservative part of the country overall, and while I'd still love to visit every province, they are one I'd be more likely not to want to live in.
3. I kept a lot of them from when I was a kid, usually some for birthdays or holidays. I actually have more at home with my parents, but I kept some here with me in school... and unexpectedly increased it by a bit. I'll at least mention the ones there with what their names are and the story behind each.
WARNING SENTIMENTAL MEMORIES INCOMING!
First, let's start with the three bears in the middle. The dark brown is Lulu, light brown is Cocoa, the small polar bear is Spirit. Lulu I got, and I remember the date, September 10th, 2001 when I got my tonsils out. I remember that date because, the next day... YEP 9/11! So I left the hospital a day or two later, little kid, maybe 5 years old, holding a teddy bear, not understanding anything, while my parents were in shock. Cocoa I got maybe around grade 2 or 3 at a gift exchange, Spirit was a gift I got from First Communion, (ironic as I am not really religious now) but I felt those three.
The beaver, Cooper, I got this year from my school's store just because I have had the Beaver/Beavie joke for years, had to get a plush.
Then the Pokemon.
Noodles the Dragonite I got from my friends from Undergrad before I left. We bonded over Pokemon and Dragonite was my favourite pokemon, and I swept most of them with mine in game on multiple occasions.
Then I bought Allie the Scorbunny, Vicky the Eevee, Candie the Sylveon (on twitter @CandieSylveon), Darkshade the Umbreon. I got Allie shortly after Pokemon Sword and Shield came out, I got the Vicky last year as a present for myself since I was earning a bit extra with emergency pay from the pandemic. Then Candie and Darkshade were this semester for school.
As for the big Chonky Zorua (Ruby) it was a gift from some of my friends from Atlanta because they knew I wanted a Zorua and they knew I was having a rough start to the school year with my grandmother passing... Speaking of.
Finally the last one, the white and gray one, I named Marble. That bear is not mine. That bear is my late Grandmother's. When she was in the hospital in January diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, they gave her a "feel better soon" gift, that bear. When I visited her, we came up with the name "Marble" for it and when I visited her (which was often) I often had that bear on my lap. After she passed, when our family met just for a family dinner before the funeral just to spend time in our grief, my grandfather gave it to me and said to keep it. Honestly, that is probably what my nanny would have wanted anyways.
