Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka's mistress' death getting fresh look from Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin - mcall.com

This is my local paper and the story was on the front page this morning, can't believe I've never heard this story before as the Motel is less than a half hour from where I've lived my whole life.... The story certainly sounds fishy... no doubt Snuka was a steroid user and we've all seen what rampant steroid use can lead to.... WWE can't be happy this has come back to the surface and if it leads to anything I wonder what it would mean for Tamina, who has always been billed as Snuka's daughter.. Surely if Snuka were to get in any trouble, she would need a repackaging if not being let go alltogether... I'll be keeping tabs on this for sure

it's only been, what, 8-10 years for Luger? still has another 20 for someone to decide to take a "fresh look".... I'm sure Snuka figured he was free and clear..

Yeah, I've heard about this story quite a few times and wondered why no one else knew much about it because it was a fucking murder case and a big reason Snuka never became bigger in the WWF because he was definitely over enough. Don't really care much about this "fresh look" because even if they find him guilty, it's been 30 years and his prime is already over.

This is old news, Jimmy killed a second hooker.

Don't go drinking with Jimmy Snuka is what Samoans will tell you.

Really don't think you guys should be making jokes about this, that is someone who lost their life.

It maybe old news as far as his career is concerned, but not his life, if he is found guilty they can still punish him.

No shit it's old news, it happened in 1983.... but the fact they are re-examining the case is "new" news and it could mean trouble for a WWE hall of famer, thus making it worth while to post on the site.... are you that bored in life that you feel the need to interject on every topic even when you have nothing of any value whatsoever to contribute.... i mean, I get it, you are mainly here to start, join in, and finish arguments which can be fun at times but I'll never understand why you would waste the time it takes to post something like this^^^

I can't see anything coming of this, they aren't going to miraculously come up with new evidence after three decades. This is just a DA responding to public pressure after Snuka's book came out late last year. He just wants to keep the voters onside even if he doesn't end up charging Snuka.

Re: District Attorney to take a "Fresh Look" at death of Jimmy Snuka's former mistres

Idk things today are so advanced you never know what they can dig back up from this case. Must have not been brought up for no reason so interesting to see what came of this. To this day I'm still shocked that WWE didn't like distance themselves from Snuka after that even if he got in the clear eventually. Guess it goes to show you the differences of today and back then since I'm sure if a wrestler possibly killed someone today with the way media is now they would let them go faster than the Pats let Hernandez go.

I don't see why Tamina should suffer for this. She either wasn't born or just a really young girl. No sense punishing someone who's innocent.

I am pretty sure that Snuka talked about it in his book last year so that probably prompted more debate about what actually happened. The locals start to get upset that it is still an open case, public pressure builds and so the DA demands a review of the case. Still don't see it leading anywhere.

Vince must have been confident about Snuka being innocent otherwise I am sure he would have been let go back then. If it was as obvious as the Hernandez situation he would have been gone. Plus as you said with media these days they would have been all over it and he would have at least been stood down until he was cleared by police.

Didn't know he talked about it recently so yeah that will of course open things back up some. He probably should have stayed as far away as he could have in regards to that topic.

Re: District Attorney to take a "Fresh Look" at death of Jimmy Snuka's former mistres

I think you're both kind of right in that technology and investigating has come a long long way since '83 and there's always a chance something was overlooked or not looked at as in depth as they can now, but Troy is also probably right that nothing will come of it and I'm sure the DA has at least a slight alterior motive in re-opening the case...... As for Tamina, if Jimmy were to somehow be found guilty or even charged with murder I am positive WWE would, at the very least, want to drop the Snuka name and change her finisher to get her as far away from the remembrance of her father as they can.... Hell, they greatly diminish the quality of some of their DVD releases just to keep Benoit's image or a mention of his name from popping up and I'm sure they'd do the same in this case..

Are you that petty, you need to insult people who don't take an opinion of yours as serious, as you think it is? Statue of limitations could be used for this and even if it is revealed that Vince helped wrap up and bury the body doesn't mean their old asses are going to jail for it.

Jimmy Hoffa of 80s wrestling here, Drunk Jimmy Snuka isn't going to affect his daughter in any way, shape or form.
