Erick Redbeard (Rowan) Cancels Indie Wrestling Appearance Due to "Contractual Issues"

Chris

Dreams are Endless

We have just received word this evening from Erick Rowan that unfortunately he will not be able to make his scheduled appearance next week at Coal Town Carnage.
Erick stated that new contractual obligations are preventing him from making several dates including ours.
This is the first time in ECPW history that one of our scheduled stars cancelled and it is out of our control.
With that being said, the show will still feature Former WWE Superstar Brian Kendrick, the debut of Vanessa Kraven plus all of the superstars or East Coast Pro Wrestling.
Three title matches, a New Waterford Rumble and much more goes down next Saturday at The New Waterford & District Community Center.
Please message the ECPW FB Page if further information is required.

Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Erick Rowan, has withdrawn from an upcoming East Coast Pro Wrestling event due to new "contractual obligations." This sudden cancellation ahead of next week's event adds more fuel to the fire that Redbeard may be gearing up for a return to WWE.

The idea of Uncle Howdy's return to television has been bolstered by ongoing teases on the company's television shows since WrestleMania. Someone like Erick Rowan would fit right into that scenario if it came to fruition. Many stars have needed to cancel events after signing with WWE, and "contractual obligations" is a very popular reason given to avoid outright saying they inked that deal.

Howdy, Rowan, Bliss... Good on Bo for getting to honour his brother but this does not sound exciting at all.

Possibly Braun in there as well since he's supposedly good to go, just need the doctors say so. Maybe connect it to Nikki Cross' current gimmick? I'm always a fan of everything Nikki does (Yes, including the superhero stuff.) so I would find it fun. I'm still intrigued, just don't do the neon stuff again and maybe connect it a tiny bit more to actual wrestling than the original Uncle Howdy stuff was and we should be good.

Uncle Howdy was garbage. Never made any sense, never went anywhere.

No disrespect to Bray the man of course. I can appreciate his brother trying to pay tribute to him but that doesn’t mean it’s good TV.
