General WrestleMania Discussion Thread - Saturday April 6th & Sunday April 7th 2024

HELL IS NOT A MYTH
my thought process was that rock gets the win on n1 to get bloodline rules(can even pin cody after fuckery) and then n2 we get all the bloodline and all the cody pals come out and do their thing and cody wins clean then on smackdown we get the rock saying he lined everything up for roman to get the easy win and he still failed and kicks roman out of the bloodline for roman to take like 6 months off before returning as a babyface.

Intercontinental Champion Gunther vs. Sami Zayn

At WrestleMania, Sami Zayn will seek to become the Superstar to dethrone Gunther’s historic reign as Intercontinental Champion.

By the time WrestleMania rolls around, The Ring General would have ruled as Intercontinental Champion for 664 days, bulldozing everyone in his path, defeating the likes of Jey Uso, Chad Gable, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre, to name a few.

Thus far, not many challengers have come close to taking away Gunther’s title, but Zayn, a former Intercontinental Champion, will hope to become the first.

Zayn had to go through five of the very best Raw Superstars to earn the chance, overcoming Bronson Reed, JD McDonagh, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura and Chad Gable in a grueling Gauntlet Match.

Zayn and The Ring General have faced off once in the past in a one-on-one encounter inside a WWE ring, with Gunther earning the victory. However, the Intercontinental Title was not on the line during that match.

Can Zayn make back-to-back WrestleMania history after dethroning The Usos’ historic tag team title reign last year with Kevin Owens? Or will The Ring General stay undefeated at WrestleMania?

Find out April 6 and 7 at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming LIVE on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

So. It occurred to me last night. Drew will be why Roman and Rock win Night 1.

Seth 100% taking the pin in my mind so I could see it. I dunno if they'd have Drew get one over on Seth both days though and I def think Drew should win the belt. I was kinda thinking Seth would just take the fall, maybe really sell a spear or something so the story was he fucked up focusing on the Bloodline before N2

Like, honestly the only thing that made me think about it was the promo exchange between the two last night, and the way Drew was talking about The Bloodline, I’m like “this mother fucker is gonna help them win, what the fuck” but, yeah it also could be much to have Drew get one over on him two nights in a row, and I rather he win the title. But definitely something that I could see happening. Maybe some sort of distraction, not even fully getting involved.

Drew winning the title but then having to cope with outright helping the Bloodline afterwards once it sets in could be a good angle

The story of Seth focusing on Cody and the Bloodline will definitely play into him losing the WHC.

Question becomes does he lose it to Drew? Or does he beat Drew and Priest cashes in?

At this point they've waited too long with Priest that what I want more is a Drew title reign, but they gotta do something before July

I really feel they have Priest cash in on Cody :heston Ruining his moment. Then Cody gets it back like a month or two later to begin his proper reign

About the tag titles, anyone get the feeling they're gonna have two teams pull down a belt each and that's how they get split?

I think I saw like 10 people predict this within 2 minutes of the announcement lol at this point I'm not holding my breath on them splitting until announced tho

I'm just gonna assume they do it that way and not have JD defend each title on both nights since they have 3 guys pulling double duty already.
