- WWE's working plan to try and get Bill Goldberg signed for WrestleMania 31 is to follow a similar path that they took with The Ultimate Warrior. The idea is to put Goldberg in the WWE 2K15 video game, announce that around SummerSlam and then use that hype to build to a top spot at WrestleMania 31.
Fingers crossed this goes ahead this time because I know I will mark out when that music hits. I'd also have his first appearance be the Royal Rumble aswell for that shock factor.

Will put this under "believe when I see" column for now, it's too damn early to make these speculations again.

Would be great to see Goldberg back if even for a HOF induction. I'll side with Slim & Deezy though & will believe it when I see it. Would also like to see him back for the Rumble as a surprise entry.

Don't want to see him back personally, and I too will file it under "Believe it when I see it".

Agreed with this, although I guess it depends on who's "project" this is. If it's a HHH project then you can all but bet your bottom dollar it will happen as the guy seems to get shit done.

Goldberg was in the latest game and nothing came of it. Can't see any validation to this report.

Eh that was merely because of the 30 years of WM stick. He hasn't been In a game for no specific reason In Awhile.

Goldberg has sometimes said he'd be open to doing a big match for the WWE under the right conditions, especially so his kid could see him work once in person. I don't think we'd ever see him come back to an arrangement like Brock Lesnar's. Certainly won't see him do anything that has him on the road. But some sort of agreement that gives him maybe one last match, a Hall of Fame induction, and some marketing to help keep his name out there, I could see that happening.

Why exactly was he necessary for the 30 Years of Mania stick? Not exactly like THAT match is some kind of WM Moment.

No but it was a part of Wrestlemania & was a big match for that years PPV which was why it was included in the 30 years of Mania.

Rock and Sock/Evolution? Eddie/Angle? Pretty shitty match to go back to.

It was still a Wrestlemania match, regardless of how terrible people think it was. I do agree it's too early for these speculations to be floating around. But I really wouldn't be surprised. They money would be there as he is still known. He still has a fanbase that does continue to grow as today's generation of parents are watching old wrestling stuff with their kids and so on. There would definitely be money made, all a matter of how he's booked. I just want to see him walking through the backstage area with a police escort. That was always boss.

Goldberg will come back...

If the $$$ are well above the six figure mark and his ego gets the stroking of a lifetime. I wouldn't mind seeing Goldberg come back for a match or feud with someone, but again people have been saying he is coming back for like 3 years now... never shows up, rumors run rampant, "He is coming back to face Taker!" "He is gonna be booked against Ryback at Mania" and now "WWE 2k15 is endorsing him as a selling point to hype his return."

If it happens it happens

Don't think he's interested tbh, and got the vibe he never really cared about wrestling at any point.

Would love to see him back squashing Bryan, Ziggler and the other vanilla midgets tho.
