Welcome, Chris and Blaze!
What can you say about the backbone of Wrestling Smarks? Chris has been a longstanding member of this community dating back to the days of one of the original owners of the forum, Ben. From the day Ben merged his Wrestle Club Forums with Troy's Wresting Smarks, there really hasn't been too many more loyal members than Chris. This man took on the thankless job of moderating a forum simply because he wanted to give the community fun and wanted to help out with the fun sections of the forum and needed the power to move and lock threads. He's not a person that particularly loves having to deal with having to moderate user's behavior or have to be the bad guy, but he took on that role because Wrestling Smarks needed him to.
Who knows where Wrestling Smarks would even be if Chris hadn't answered my random Tweet to him asking him if he'd like to comeback from that dire times WS was in in early 2016. Man helped resurrect a near dead brand into a revitalized bustling community that's still growing in the dark times of social media. Chris gives us all so much on daily basis from his endless tournaments that he puts so much work into and that we all enjoy and help keep up all the wrestling sections and man watches every product of man so we don't have to and everyone can someone join them for a live discussion.
Give it to this god of a man that only needs one name. Welcome ya boy Chris to the 2021 Hall of Fame.
If Chris was the backbone of the forum, Blaze is the soul. Blaze was here long before the rest of us deigned to grace him with our presence and he'll still be here when the sun has swallowed the Earth whole in a blaze of fire. He's outlived every forum that forum has gone through and as, and all the former managements. Whether it was Impact Wrestling Forums, Pulse Forums, Wrestling Punks or Smarks, he's the constant and the coolest cat in the land.
Blaze is a man I'd consider a personal friend that checks up on me on and off the forum and vice versa. I've know him for over a decade now and he's stuck by me and whichever commentary my forum was going by at the time and came over the "Smarks" version of this forum when I merged my old forum with the one Troy created, which funnily enough had merged previous with a forum Blaze was already on since 2007, the date used in the banners.
On top of simply helping build our community for 10 plus years, man always stepped up and took on a staff position was it was needed to give the place the love it needed and ever since joining as the AEW mod, he brought a passion for AEW so insanely unrivaled he turned it into the most consistently active wrestling section and turned that passion into an infectious disease that snared so many of us to his cult. Jeff may have taken it too literally.
Please do this man a solid and join me in the Christmas sprit by welcoming Blaze into the 2021 class!
