Tonight on WWE 205 Live, the Cruiserweights battle the Superstars of NXT U.K. in two huge contests. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese will face the masked sensation Ligero while Gentleman Jack Gallagher, Humberto Carrillo, Mark Andrews and James Drake face off in a Fatal 4-Way Match.
Humberto Carrillo and Gentleman Jack Gallagher forged an uneasy alliance due in part to their mutual disdain for Drew Gulak. Now, both Superstars will enter a Fatal 4-Way Match that also features Mark Andrews and James Drake. Of course, the high-flying Andrews is no stranger to WWE 205 Live, having battled previous Cruiserweight Champions such as Buddy Murphy. However, one-half of the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions James Drake is certainly a variable and will be more than willing to show each competitor how things are done across the pond.
Will the tentative alliance between Carrillo and Gallagher grow stronger or more strained as they engage against each other and two of the brightest stars in NXT U.K., or will their desire to best one another shift their focus away from the goal of winning the match?
One of the most exciting competitors on the NXT UK roster is the masked high-flyer Ligero. The luchador has impressed the WWE Universe since first competing in the tournament for the WWE UK Championship and has continued to captivate fans by battling on NXT UK and WWE Worlds Collide. Although Ligero has defeated WWE 205 Live’s Gran Metalik – as well as Albert Hardie Jr. – he will certainly face a huge test against WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese.
With his title defense against Ariya Daivari at WWE Money in the Bank on the horizon, The Premier Athlete is more than willing to represent the purple brand in London and push his limits against a competitor that can potentially match his own speed and agility.
Ligero has a major opportunity to defeat the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, while Nese will be looking to send a message to his dastardly challenger.

Despite losing to The Lucha House Party immediately after returning to WWE 205 Live, The Singh Brothers believe they have what it takes to silence Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik for good. Plus, with Ariya Daivari vanquished, will a new Superstar emerge to challenge WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese?
Last month, The Singh Brothers made their return to WWE 205 Live for the first time since the first-ever episode. The duo looked to immediately make a splash and battled Cruiserweight division veterans Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik of The Lucha House Party. Although they were met with defeat, The Singhs remained confident and immediately bounced back in a battle against David Kauffman and Kevin Lee.
Following their victory, The Singh Brothers issued a challenge to The Lucha House Party looking to fully course-correct and show the WWE Universe that the Cruiserweight division has changed and that they are ushers of a new eras.
Can The Singhs prove their loss to Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado was a fluke, or will The Lucha House Party once again send them packing?
At WWE Money in the Bank, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese successfully defended his title against the aggressive Ariya Daivari. Not only did the victory solidify The Premier Athlete’s status as the best competitor in the Cruiserweight division, it also extended his winning streak, which includes victories over the likes of Drew Gulak, Buddy Murphy and Ligero.
However, there are Superstars like Oney Lorcan vying for the opportunity to challenge The Premier Athlete and reach the pinnacle, and Nese is not one to back down from a challenge should a new one emerge.
