WWE Network Discussion Thread

For me, it's not about that match itself. It's the fact they are now advancing to the stage where they have no problems removing content and censoring over history. It just bothers me.I liked that they kept the archive as it was, I respected WWE for that. As you remember it. This stuff makes me sour.
They didn't really though tbf, they censored all instances of nudity and had hella music changes bc they refused to buy the rights (idk how expensive that may have been tbf lol) like almost every ECW show had Joey Styles REDO his commentary in like 2014 so you're not even getting the commentary there

Originally every New Jack match was cut bc his theme played over the entire match and then they just had Joey redo his commentary and took away the sound entirely....is Natural Born Killlaz that expensive for all that trouble?

Oh for the nudity thing I just remembered most of those shows the DVD or VHS rip was probably what was uploaded anyway which probably had the censoring already, so technically WWE probably didn't do any new edits there in fairness to them.

But also so far the only things removed are still Piper's blackface and Vince saying the n word
Waiting for them to cut X-Pac doing black face in 98.

All in all, I can't see myself subscribing to Peacock. From word of mouth, it sounds awful.

But the WWE Network was also bugged and flawed at first

I'd say that one didn't really affect me as much, but I wasn't aware of those changes.

I didn't watch as much ECW when I had the Network. Everything I watched was how I remembered it, for the most part.

I'm already subscribed and it's got some other shit I'll watch too, but having the live events monthly will keep me for awhile as long as it's only $10. Classic content was more extra for me anyway as much as this annoys me, it's not enough to make me keep my money and try and stream PPVs lol

idk how accurate this is but yeah WWE had already taken out a lot, most seems to be just bc they used the VHS rips that cut it out already though instead of using a master copy of sorts

Wait....they cut the first Rock concert???!!!!!

Bruh it better not be cause he called them the Sacramento Queens

I know some of those VHS rips were later converted to the PPV version so that list isn't 100% accurate for sure, that stuff was just not on the Network AT SOME POINT. As for Rock concert, idk but I feel like if that wasn't on there we shoulda heard bc of outrage? So maybe that was added eventually too lol

Wait, how does that guy on Reddit know what is edited on Peacock when alot of that classic content isn't even up on Peacock yet?

This was stuff that was already edited from the original version of the Network well before the Peacock move. Some was fixed after that was posted I'm pretty sure though, mostly VHS rips being changed to actual PPV broadcasts that restored some interviews. Also in some cases the VHS versions had more interviews too, Coliseum exclusives and such

Ah okay, I was gonna say. I really hope they upload the classic content soon. I know it's SS the latest, but I really want that stuff sooner than that. Oh well. As long as they upload it by SummerSlam, I guess that's all that matters. I'm just a very impatient person.

So is this gonna be renamed to the Peacock discussion? :mj4

I kid. I have spent today watching some of WrestleMania 31 again. This was a really solid PPV, I would say it was the last one that was well-rounded and didn't have flat moments in-between for the most part. It is definitely far from perfect, however. Undertaker should have faced Sting not Wyatt. That HHH match was pretty boring.

I think Sting as Taker's last match would have been perfect. Obviously wouldn't have been as exciting with the streak broken, but he at least wouldn't have ruined his reputation. It would have been a match worth one last hoorah from Taker.
