WWE Undergoing Releases

That was just the proverbial straw though. I had been increasingly becoming disinterested with the WWE from basically the point that the draft got reinstated and I think the moment I realized WWE wasn’t from me anymore was when Vince brought in Heyman and Bischoff to produce Raw and SmackDown in 2019, so that each show would feel differently and then he fired them both after like two months.

I was actually liking what both Heyman and Bischoff were doing to make the brands feel uniquely theirs, and then the shows went right back to Vince Central.

Whats funny is the only things I remember from 2019 are Kofimania, "It Should Have Been Me", Seth & Becky fighting mooks of the week, Boombox Brock, and Mike Kanellis being cucked and verbally abused on live TV.

Yep Vince McMahon made it a chore for sure. I will say that for a while I wasn’t watching regularly. I would skip the weekly shows at any time and just watch the PLEs

Yeah, it wasn’t great. 2019 I realized it got to the bottom of the barrel and then of course the pandemic happened and WWE just did not know how to handle that and make it interesting.

I think 2019 had a lot of potential but as usual Vince did his thing and made it all about how he could alienate fans and annoy the fuck out of people by just not letting stuff get over naturally.

I do too. I mean just think about like the way that that whole year started was like the guy behind ECW’s gonna run smackdown. The guy behind WCW was gonna run raw or actually it was the other way around and smackdown just gotten on Fox, which is why they wanted to change up the creative. And I feel like that strides were being made. You can’t turn an entire company around in two months but I feel like you could see the blueprints for it. But Vince just doesn’t have the patience for letting other people have control.

Could you imagine a timeline in which WWE's main event scene in 2017 was Steen, The Shield boys, Zack Ryder, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, Cesaro, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, and Rusev? :pour

Ryder shoulda been a Contender, he could have been something!

Ryder had potential all the way back to 2012 then he got cheated on by Eve and abused by Kane and that was the end of that.
Because Vince doesn't want people to get over on their own. If Vince had just let Ryder ride the wave of popularity and given him a solid IC title run, I think Ryder would be a main eventer in WWE today
