WCW The Great American Bash '89 - NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Ric Flair (c) vs Terry Funk (with Gary Hart)

Flair's face for one of the few times in the 80s and it's amazing. These guys start outside the ring with Flair taking it to Funk :mark: Funk goes crazy and throws a chair in the ring, and goes out into the crowd for a breather. Both guys finally get in the ring and lock up. They exchange some hard strikes, one which sends Funk back over the top rope. Flair follows him back out, but Funk catches him and slams him into the ring post. Funk's brawling is fucking awesome :mark: Suplex back to the inside of the ring for a two count by Funk, and Funk keeps going to work on Flair's neck. Flair fights back and suplexes him from the apron to the outside :mark: It didn't connect all the way, but it was still awesome. They exchange chops and various strikes now, and both men poke each other's eyes :lmao Back in the ring, Funk tries to go for the piledriver, but Flair back drops him out of the ring :mark: THIS FUCKING FEUD IS BRUTAL! More brawling outside of the ring, this time with Flair in control. Back in the ring, Flair goes for the neck this time. Flair goes for a piledriver of his own and he hits it, followed by a second and Funk ends up outside of the ring. Funk's crawling way now :lmao Flair catches up to him, and throws him back in the ring. Flair starts working the leg now and locks in the Figure-4. Gary Hart is able to get Funk a branding iron then distracts the ref allowing Funk to hit him with it in the head, which breaks the hold and busts Flair open. Funk is able to hit a piledriver now, but Flair is able to get his foot under the rope to break up the count. Funk starts choking Flair with his wrist tape now, and then signals for a piledriver on the concrete outside. Flair is able to reverse it, but Funk ends up on the ring apron and just falls on top of Flair :lmao Flair is selling his neck so fucking great, as Funk hits a neckbreaker back in the ring, followed by a second, then a third. Funk's trying to get Flair to say he gives up, meanwhile Gary Hart's yelling "Just pin him" SHIT IT'S OBERYN/MOUNTAIN IN 1989! Hart distracts the referee again, but this time Flair is able to hit Funk in the head with the branding iron. Funk's busted open now too. Back in the ring, Flair is able to reverse a spinning toe hold, and goes for the Figure-4. Funk, however, reverses this into a cradle, but Flair rolls it back over and gets the three count. This was such a hate-filled brawl, I loved it. After the match, Funk, Hart, and The Great Muta attack Flair, and the crowd chants for Sting. Sting comes out and starts attacking Muta and Funk and the crowd goes nuts :mark: They start to double team Sting, but Flair comes out of nowhere with a big knee lift :mark: I LOVE THESE FUCKING BRAWLS!

EDIT: HOLY SHIT IT'S NOT OVER! Flair and Sting were celebrating and the PPV looked to be over, but Funk throws a chair at them, and Flair just charges at them outside the ring and we get another brawl :lmao

WWF SummerSlam 1989 - Brutus Beefcake & WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan (with Miss Elizabeth) vs Randy Savage & Zeus (with Sensational Sherri)

The heels charge both faces at the beginning. Savage and Beefcake fight outside while Zeus no sells all of Hogan's offense. Beefcake comes in, and Zeus catches him in a bearhug. Hogan tries to break it up, but Zeus just no-sells everything some more. Savage comes in now and stays in control of Hogan. The crowd helps Hogan fight out of a sleeper, and he's able to fight back and take out Savage, but Zeus catches him with a kick and gets tagged in by Savage. Zeus locks in another bearhug on Hogan that lasts for awhile. Macho gets tagged back in, and Hogan's really taking a beating now. Hogan's able to dodge a few moves, and barely tags in Beefcake for a nice hot tag. Brutus locks in his Sleeper on Savage, but Savage is able to reverse it and slam Beefake into the turnbuckle. Zeus gets tagged in, but Beefcake is able to lock on a sleeper on him. Savage is able to break it up though by hitting him with Sherri's loaded purse while the ref was tied up with Hogan. Savage gets back in and gets a few two counts on Beefcake, but Hogan comes in the ring illegally and chases Savage for a little while. Zeus gets tagged back in and does his "YA YA YA YA" while doing some offense. The ref pulls Zeus off Beefcake by his head because he was choking him :lmao Literally all Zeus has done this match is choke and bearhug. Savage gets back in, and Beefcake is able to turn it around. Both men end up hitting a double clothesline on each other, and Beefcake is able to tag in Hogan. Hogan is in control of Savage now, but Sherri's interference allows Savage to tag in Zeus. Savage hits the Diving Elbow, and Hogan gets righ tup from it and no-sells it. I guess Savage didn't tag in Zeus. Hogan hits an atomic drop on Savage that sends him outside. Oh now Zeus gets in the ring. Hogan finally gets Zeus down and the crowd goes fucking crazy. Sherri gets on the apron, and Elizabeth pushes her into the ring. Savage is on the top rope with Sherri's purse, but Beefcake pushes him down. Hogan then gets the purse and nails Zeus in the jaw with it, followed by a big slam and the leg drop for the win. The ending sequence was a lot of fun, and this match was definitely better than I thought it'd be. The crowd being so hot definitely made this better than it was too.

WCW Halloween Havoc 1989 - Thunderdome Cage Match (with Bruno Sammartino as special guest referee): J-Tex Corporation (NWA World Television Champion The Great Muta & Terry Funk) (with Gary Hart) vs NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair & Sting (with Ole Anderson)

So this cage is electrified, and the only way for the match to end is for one of the "designated terminators" (Ole or Hart) to throw in the towel. This cage looks ratchet as fuck with all the wires and fuse boxes :lmao So Funk starts climbing all on the cage now for some reason, and the announcers have to explain that the electrical parts are higher up. One of the fuse boxes is on fire :lmao OH SHIT MUTA PUTS IT OUT WITH HIS MIST :mark: THAT WAS AWESOME! Funk and Flair start this one out, and it's worth noting that this cage is more like a hell in a cell than a traditional cage. Muta puts his arm on Bruno nonchalantly and Bruno just pushes him for no reason :lmao Muta was being friendly. Flair takes it to Funk, and slams him outside the ring. Flair tags in Sting, who continues the work on Funk. They end up outside the ring, and Sting slams him into the cage. Funk tries to take some shots at Ole, but sting catche shim and throws him back into the ring. Flair gets tagged back in and they do some double team work on Funk. Muta gets in the ring, but Sting pushes him back out before getting the tag from Flair. "Sting started out as a member of the Blade Runners. I don't think his partner has progressed quite as much." :lmao JR. Muta comes in and Sting just keeps taking it to him, slamming him into Funk. The faces have really been in control here as Flair gets a tag. Flair hits his patented knee drop on Muta before tagging back in Sting, who throws Muta outside and slams him into the cage. All four men are outside now. Muta and Sting get back in the ring, and Muta takes control as Funk slams Flair outside. Funk gets some cheap shots in on Sting allowing Muta to take control. Muta slams Sting outside and baits Flair into the ring hoping for Bruno to stop him, but he doesn't :lmao Muta takes out Flair with a thumb to the eye as Funk chokes Sting outside the ring. Flair takes it to Muta outside the ring now, but Funk comes after him and they trade off opponents. Muta and Sting are back in the ring, and Muta hits a nice suplex. All four men in the ring now, and J-Tex Corporation takes it to Sting. Flair and Funk go after each other again, Bruno isn't even trying to get anyone out of the ring lol. Sting hits a nice bulldog on Muta, then Funk as well to take both men out. Flair gets tagged in now, and the double team ensues on Muta. Sting locks in the Scorpion Deathlock, but Funk quickly breaks it up. Flair and FUnk again start brawling outside the ring as Muta throws out Sting too. Back in the ring, Muta takes it to Sting as Flair and Funk go at it on the apron. They end up on the cage now and Funk gets slammed head first a few times. No shock. Muta then starts climbing it for whatever reason, followed by Sting. Muta gets shocked on the hand :lmao there's no reason for these guys to be climbing. Flair's taking it to Funk who keeps trying to climb as well. Muta and Sting make it back into the ring. Flair and Funk are getting really high on the cage now. Funk's actually hanging from the ceiling and Flair starts chopping him. Funk's tangled in the bars now and Flair fucking swings from a rope to hit him :mark: In the ring, Sting has Muta lifted up in a military press for awhile before dropping him as FUnk is still stuck. Funk gets untanged but now he's just hanging as Muta climbs under the ring. Funk climbs some more, and Sting follows him. Meanwhile, Muta came out and slams Flair into the cage. They start exchanging chops as Sting and Funk are working on each other at the top of the cage. Flair and Muta are in the ring now and locks in the Figure-4 on Muta as Sting rope swings to hit Funk a few times. Great camera shot to get all four men as that happened. Flair let go of the submission for some reason and throws Muta outside the ring. He yells at Sting, and Muta catches him with a sick kick to the back of the head as Funk dodges a Sting rope swing. In the ring, Muta works over Flair's legs. He locks in a reverse STF now. Funk makes his way back to the ring, and I think he tied Sting to the cage :lmao Ole unties Sting as both men work over Flair now. Big double piledriver on Flair by Funk with help from Muta as Sting is still tied. Ole finally gets Sting untied, and he jumps from the cage onto Funk with a crossbody :mark: Muta climbs up to the top again and JR makes a racist joke even though there's been one shock this whole match. Muta and Sting battle it out up top again as Flair works on Funk's leg. All four men get in the ring now. Muta goes for a moonsault, but Sting crotches him as Flair locks in the Figure-4. Sting hits a diving splash on Funk during it :mark: He hits a second and Hart hasn't even thought of throwing the towel in. Muta comes in and tries to take out Bruno, but he nails him :lmao Gary Hart tries to come in, but Ole stops him and in the process accidentally causes Hart to throw his towel in so the match is over. That was actually a lot of fun to watch, but like 2% of it made any kind of sense. Plus "electrified" cage :TI: Muta got shocked in the hand once.

WWF Survivor Series - Elimination Match: The Heenan Family (Andre the Giant, Arn Anderson, Bobby Heenan, & Haku) vs The Ultimate Warriors [Jim Neidhart, The Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels), & WWF Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior]

So apparently there's dissension in The Heenan Family, so that's why Heenan's wrestling instead of Tully. This one starts with everyone brawling before Warrior even gets out. Warrior comes running down to save Neidhart from Andre and then these two starts off the match. Warrior knocks Andre out of the ring, and celebrates. Andre gets counted out from that :lmao probably for the best. Warrior forces Haku and Anderson both in the ring, and it looks like Anderson is the legal man. Neidhart gets the tag, and really takes it to Anderson. Andre's just now getting up as Anderson tags in Haku, but Neidhart just keeps taking it to Haku now instead. Haku starts fighting back with his legit strikes, and these two start exchanging. Haku tags in Arn and they double team Neidhart as Warrior keeps pacing back and forth on the apron. Neidhart's having hell in The Heenan Family's corner. Haku hits him with a sick Savate kick to the back of the head to eliminate Neidhart. Michaels comes in now, and has an entertaining exchange with Haku. The Rockers exchange a lot of quick tags and double team moves now, and these fuckers are so quick that I can't keep up :mark: Haku is finally able to take out both of them, but more double team allows Jannetty to stay in control. Haku is able to tag in Anderson, and now it's him and Jannetty in. Haku ends up back in and they go for a double suplex on Jannetty, but Michaels catches him and they hit a double superkick on both guys :mark: Warrior gets tagged in for the first time since the beginning. Haku is able to take it to Warrior though and tags in Anderson. Warrior fights off of that, and ends up tagging Jannetty back in. Really fun exchange here before Anderson is able to tag in Haku. Haku takes control of Jannetty with some strikes before tagging in Heenan for the first time, but Jannetty hits him once and he tags back out :lmao Jannetty is able to fight off Haku, but Anderson catches him with a cheap shot to keep Haku in. I fucking love Haku's savate kick. Heenan gets back in and PINS JANNETTY AFTER A KNEE DROP :mark: Arn and Warrior are in now, and Warrior locks in a bearhug. Anderson is able to fight out and tag in Haku, but Warrior just puts Haku in another bear hug before tagging in Michaels. FUCKING AWESOME DROPKICK BY MICHAELS FUCK THAT WAS AMAZING! Haku sends Michaels outside the ring, but Warrior comes over and throws him back in before any double team can happen. Anderson gets tagged in, and Michaels gets caught with some double team again in the corner. Michaels is finally able to fight out now, using his quickness and tags in Warrior. Warrior takes it to Anderson before tagging in Michaels and they do a Rocket Launcher on Anderson for a two count. Anderson is able to tag Haku back in, and they take control of Michaels. Haku misses a springboard splash, and Michaels is able to hit a crossbody for the three count. Anderson quickly comes in to take control of Michaels and tags in Heenan. Warrior comes in to stop the double team, and this allows Anderson to throw Michaels over the top rope. Heenan gets on the top rope like he was gonna jump on Michaels, but gets back down :lmao Michaels hits a sunset flip coming in and Anderson reaches for the tag, but Heenan doesn't tag him :lmao Anderson kicks out and yells at Heenan before tagging him back in. Michaels quickly fights him back, and Heenan tags Anderson right back in. Anderson and Michaels hit heads really hard in the middle of the ring, and they're both down. They starts exchanging strikes on their knees before making it back to their feet. Really nice exchange here before Anderson hits a FUCKING AMAZING SPINEBUSTER FOR THE THREE COUNT :mark: Holy shit that was one of his best. Warrior comes in, and takes out Anderson, but Anderson is able to throw him outside. Heenan again gets up top, but then gets back down :lmao Anderson meets Warrior outside, and tosses him back in before tagging in Heenan. Warrior no-sells Heenan's strikes, and Heenan quickly tags in Anderson. Anderson keeps control in his corner, but Warrior is finally able to fight out and sends Anderson into Heenan. Warrior hits his slam and splash combo for the pin, so now it's just Warrior and Heenan. WArrior taunts Heenan for a little while beofre sending him hard into the turnbuckle. Warrior throws Heenan outside the ring, and he tries to leave, but Warrior catches him, and hits a big shoulder block followed by a splash for the win. Not a bad match at all. It wasn't the best on the card, but it definitely wasn't the worst and some of those Rockers exchanges with Haku and Anderson were :homer:

Bobby Eaton VS. Chip "The Firebreaker" WCW Clash of the Champions 1991

Eaton never really got going as a singles wrestler, but when given the right guy to go with he could have some pretty smooth matches. This was just a filler bout on a show centered around the Rude/Sting match/angle. You could tell that Chip was a tag guy (and not even very good at that), he had a decent body thats about all. The match was short, slow, awkward, crammed with weak exchanges. In the end Eaton got the win, I can only guess because WCW were starting him in the Dangerous Alliance not long afterwards, and they had no clue what to do with Chip. This match would have looked out of place on Worldwide.

The Midnight Express (W/Jim Cornette) VS. The Freebirds NWA Main Event

Proof that the Midnight could adapt to playing faces too. This is a classic back and fourth match, with perfect pacing and fantastic crowd heat. Stan Lane sells his hand injury to perfection, and the match leads beautifully to the moment when it comes into play. These two teams were at their best here and just work off each other so well. Heyman trashing Cornette is entertaining OTT on communetary too.

Paul Roma VS. Alex Wright WCW Superbrawl V

This match is totally bleh. Its really genatic and at times it is hard to tell who is meant to be the face and who is meant to be the heel. Little crowd heat or spark between the two. Just a nothing match.

WCW Starrcade 1989 - Iron Man Tournament: NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair vs Sting

Sting has to win this match by pin or submission to win the tournament. Flair can win the tournament with a count out victory, but if either man is disqualified or it goes to a draw, then Luger wins. We start off with Sting taking control early with his speed. It's worth noting that this is both of these guys' third match of the night. Flair challenges Sting to a woo-off, which isn't the smartest thing to do in a 15-minute time limit match. Some nice chain wrestling here, with Sting ending up on top of it. Flair sits Sting up on the turnbuckle to break it up, then lets him down. Sting wins another chain wrestling exchange, this time using his strength. The pace really quickens now and Sting ends up hitting a press slam on Flair. Flair loses his composure and goes outside of the ring to regain it. Back in the ring, we get some more fast paced action with Sting remaining in control for the most part until Flair catches him with a big knife-edge chop. Flair hits a few more, but Sting's able to come back with a hip toss and a couple dropkicks. This is a really hard hitting match. Flair sells the clothesline, then takes a cheap shot and throws Sting outside the ring. Flair resorting to his heel tactics again after spending most of the year as a face :mark: Flair slams Sting into the railing, and the referee starts his count. Sting makes it back in the ring, but Flair stays on top of him with a suplex from the apron to the inside of the ring for a two count. Flair hits one of his big knee drops, and starts going into his offense now. Flair does an awesome abdominal stretch into a pin for a two count :mark: Flair yells at referee Nick Patrick and the fans start to boo him a little. Flair hits a nice suplex for another two count, and the announcers are really putting over how aggressive Flair's being tonight to his "friend" Sting. Flair gets caught with a big clothesline from Sting though, and Sting follows Flair outside the ring. Sting no-sells some chops now as 5 minutes remain in the match. Back in the ring, Flair takes control with a straight right hand. Flair tries to suplex Sting outside the ring, but Sting reverses it into one of his own for a two count. Sting no-sells some more strikes, and the crowd is getting really hot now. Sting hits a big Stinger Splash in the corner followed by a Flair Flop, and then he locks in the Scorpion Deathlock, but Flair quickly gets under the ropes. Flair hits a knee breaker and quickly locks in the Figure-4 :mark: Sting gets to the ropes though, but Flair stays working on the leg as there's two minutes left in the match. Some quick two counts now by both men, and this crowd is so hot. One minute left as Flair works on the leg some more. He tries to lock in the Figure-4 again, but Sting reverses it into a pin and wins with like 20 seconds left :mark: That was a fun match, not on the caliber of their Night of Champions one or anything, but still a lot of fun. After the match Arn and Ole Anderson come out and pretty much welcome Sting into the Horsemen :mark:

That should be 89 right? So odd to think of Sting in the Horseman now.

WWF Royal Rumble 1990 - Royal Rumble Match: Akeem (with Slick) vs WWF World Tag Team Champion Andre the Giant (with Bobby Heenan) vs Ax vs Bad News Brown vs The Barbarian (with Mr. Fuji) vs Bret Hart vs Dino Bravo (with Jimmy Hart) vs Dusty Rhodes (with Sapphire) vs Earthquake (with Jimmy Hart) vs WWF World Tag Team Champion Haku (with Bobby Heenan) vs Hercules vs Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) vs WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan vs Jake Roberts vs Jim Neidhart vs Jimmy Snuka vs Koko B. Ware vs Marty Jannetty vs Mr. Perfect vs Randy Savage (with Sensational Sherri) vs The Red Rooster vs Rick Martel vs Rick Rude vs Roddy Piper vs Shawn Michaels vs Smash vs Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) vs Tito Santana vs WWF Intercontinental Champion Ultimate Warrior vs The Warlord (with Mr. Fuji)

Ted DiBiase drew number 1, and Koko B. Ware is out at number 2. Like last year, Virgil doesn't have to leave because he isn't a manager, he's a bodyguard. DiBiase tosses Koko out pretty quick by reversing a clothesline. Marty Jannetty is out and I think this version dubbed entrance music because I didn't think they did that for awhile for entrants. DiBiase ducks a crossbody and Jannetty goes over hard. 27 more to go for DiBiase. Number 4 is Jake Roberts, and he comes out with his GOAT slow walk :mark: This guy had one of the best pre-Rumble interviews ever before this started. DiBiase actually attacks Roberts outside the ring, no one ever remembers that you can get out of the ring in a Royal Rumble as long as you go under the ropes. Randy Savage is out at number 5, and he hits the ring in about 0.02 seconds. I guess managers aren't having to leave this year. Roddy Piper comes out at number 6, and the crowd is going nuts. The Warlord is the 7th entrant, meh. Number 8 is Bret Hart, no eliminations in awhile. I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS Brown :side: comes out at number 9. Savage is able to eliminate Roberts while he went for a DDT on DiBiase. Dusy Rhodes is out at 10, and he goes straight for Savage. This guy just was not very fun to watch by this point though. He eliminates Savage with a BIG back body drop over the top rope :mark: Andre is out at number 11. Andre eliminates Warlord really quick with ease, then Heenan and Fuji almost get into it :lmao Number 12 comes out and it's The Red Rooster UGH this is still a thing. Piper eliminates Brown, but then Brown gets pissed and comes back in and eliminates him and these two start brawling outside. Out comes Ax at number 13, and Andre just tosses out The Rooster, thank fuck. Andre's tag partner, Haku is out next. Freakin' DiBiase is still in, what a guy. Smash comes out next at number 15, and we're getting a little Demolition/Colossal Connection action here. Number 16 is Akeem. Bret Hart gets eliminated, it looked like by Akeem (the announcers didn't notice because of Andre), and Demolition eliminates Andre with a double clothesline. Jimmy Snuka is out at number 17. Snuka is able to eliminate Akeem pretty quick, and there's 6 guys in the ring now. Dino Bravo comes out at number 18, Jimmy Hart right behind him. Number 19 is Earthquake, still in his Canadian gimmick. Earthquake quickly eliminates Rhodes who I wish was out sooner. He eliminates Ax pretty quickly too like nothing. Jim Neidhart comes sprinting out at number 20, and DiBiase is still in 2/3 of the way through :mark: Everyone in the match is able to eliminate Earthquake :lmao it took 5 people. Ultimate Warrior comes out at 21 and he goes nuts, and eliminates Bravo. Number 22 comes out and it's Rick Martel to a multitude of boos. At number 23, it's Tito Santana, who goes right for Martel. Honky Tonk Man comes out at number 24, Jimmy Hart's 0-2 so far, probably about to be 0-3. Martel is able to eliminate Neidhart. Warrior FINALLY eliminates DiBiase, that dude was the best part about this match, fuck you Warrior. Hogan comes out at number 25 and this crowd pops huge. Hogan quickly eliminates Snuka, followed by Haku. Santana tries to eliminate Martel, but Warrior comes from behind and eliminates Santana while Martel stays in. Shawn Michaels comes out, and gets a really nice pop as Hogan eliminates HTM, and Warrior eliminates Martel and Michaels :lmao Rockers had like 3 seconds of Rumble time. Warrior and Hogan are the only two left now and this crowd is so hot. They clothesline each other in the center of the ring, and they're both down as The Barbarian comes out next and takes it to both guys. Rick Rude comes out now but there was no countdown or anything :hm: Apparently he was just early. Hogan causes Warrior to get eliminated by Rude and The Barbarian, but they manage to stay in. Hercules comes out at number 29, so that means we just have Perfect left and I'm already disappointed that he didn't win it. Perfect is out at 30, and this guy is so fucking good, but you all already know that. Hercules sends Barbarian over the top rope hard. Rude eliminates Hercules with a clothesline, and we're down to three. Perfect pulls down the ropes on an Irish whip from Hogan to eliminate Rude :mark: I'm hardcore cheering for Perfect now even though I know he doesn't win :( Hogan no-sells the Perfect-Plex, this fucking guy  Hogan throws him out over the corner for some reason and this one is over. Fun Rumble match, but it didn't really have any big stand-out performances like most do. I was never bored during it though.

WCW WrestleWar '90 - NWA World Heavyweight Championship: NWA United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger vs Ric Flair (c) (with Woman)

So Luger is in the match because The Horseman injured Sting. This starts with some chain wrestling that Luger ends up winning because of his power. Flair gets frustrated and pushes referee Nick Patrick who pushes him back :lmao that's the second time this has happened this PPV with Patrick. Luger is keeping control of this one pretty easily using his strength. Flair regains his composure outside the ring, then tries to have a fresh start. After '89, Flair's back to his GOAT heel work for the 90s. He sends Luger to the corner, but Luger comes right back with a big clothesline :mark: Flair tries to leave, but Luger comes after him and brings him back in the ring. Luger no-sells a guillotine, and hits a big military press slam on Flair. Flair ends up back outside the ring, not allowing Luger to sustain any of is momentum. Some fast paced action here, but Luger ends up hitting another big military press slam to end that. Flair ends up back to his feet and tries a chop, but Luger no-sells it and Flair just has this "come on" look on his face :lmao Luger continues to work on Flair's back with a big bearhug. Flair gets out of it with a straight right hand to the eye, that a boy Naitch. Luger stays in control with more power moves, but Flair is able to duck a clothesline, and Luger goes right over the top rope. Flair meets him outside and finally gets his offense going by slamming Luger into the guardrail, and hitting him with some chops. Back in the ring, Flair stays in control for the first time in this match, and sends Luger right back out through the middle rope. Woman distracts the ref as Flair continues to work on Luger outside of the ring with a BIG FUCKING CHOP! Flair stops Luger from getting back in the ring with some right hands. Finally back in the ring, Flair hits his big knee drop, and the crowd woos with him. Luger makes it back to his feet, and they start exchanging some strikes now, but Flair dodges him, forcing Luger to ram his shoulder into the corner. Flair starts working on the arm now. Flair with his GOAT heel works uses the ropes for leverage while continuing to work on Luger's arm. Woman gets involved now too as Flair had the ref distracted. Flair works on the arm some more, but the crowd is starting to get Luger back into it. Luger ends up back to his feet, but Flair hits him with a cheap shot to the gut, allowing Woman to get involved again as well. Flair gets a few close two counts using the ropes before the referee realizes it. Luger is finally able to get something going again by just straight up choking Flair. He sends Flair to the corner and Flair goes up and over all the way to the floor. Luger meets him and these two start brawling on the floor :mark: Back in the ring, Flair begs Luger to stop, but Luger is able to lock on a sleeper. That was a little sloppy, but it worked out well. Flair's able to get out of it with a back suplex, but now both men are down. Back up, Flair tries to suplex Luger outside the ring, but Luger blocks it with a suplex back inside the ring. Luger makes his way outside the ring, and slams Flair's leg into the turnbuckle. Luger's just manhandling Flair now. Luger just tries a Figure-4 and did it so long :lmao Jim Ross: "Luger is not proficient in the Figure-4" :lmao Flair ends up back on his feet, but Luger hits a big powerslam for a close two count and a huge pop from the crowd. Luger no-sells a lot of Flair's strikes now, and then follows Flair outside where he's met with a thumb to the eye. Back in the ring, Flair goes for a hip toss, but Luger reverses it into a backslide for another close two count FUCK I knew that wasn't how the match ended but that was so close. Flair catches Luger with a reverse atomic drop, then goes up top and HOLY SHIT HE CONNECTED WITH A SHOT AND DIDN'T GET THROWN OFF! OH SHIT FLAIR DOES IT AGAIN!!!! Naitch is 2-2 off the top rope so far, and this is the biggest surprise of the match. Flair locks on a sleeper of his own now, and Luger just carries him across the ring on his back. Luger starts to fight out of it, so Flair lets go of it, and goes for a pin, but Luger kicks out and hits Flair with a big clothesline for another close two count. Flair dodges an elbow drop, and takes control back again. Flair finally starts working on the leg for the first time during this match. JR just drops a "vintage" line, suck it Michael Cole. Flair locks in the Figure-4, and uses the ropes for extra leverage. The crowd pops huge because Sting comes out on his crutches with his short shorts on. Meanwhile, Luger is able to get to the ropes to break the Figure-4. Flair spits at Sting, and Sting gets in Luger's face to fire him up. Flair rolls out of the ring as soon as Luger strats getting something going :lmao Luger follows him, and Flair just runs away back into the ring. Luger catches him with the biggest military press slam of the match so far. Flair goes up top again, but Luger catches him this time. 2-3, oh well. This crowd is hot as fuck as Luger hits Flair with some clotheslines, followed by one over the top rope. Luger hits a big suplex and HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE CLOSEST TWO COUNT EVER! Woman gets involved again, and Luger pulls her up to the apron, but the distraction allows Flair to attack Luger, and in the process takes out the referee by mistake. Luger stays in control though, and Flair gets caught with a clothesline off the top rope, so he's 2-4 now. Luger hits a big superplex now, and Flair is down for awhile, but the ref is still down. Arn and Ole Anderson come out now, but Luger takes them out too. Luger locks in the Torturne Rack now, and keeps it locked in for awhile as the referee gets up. The Andersons attack Sting though, and this causes Luger to come outside of the ring, and he ends up getting counted out. Holy fuck that match lasted almost 40 minutes, but it was so much fun to watch. I didn't care for the ending, but it definitely worked well with Flair's heel run. Really good match, but not quite as good as their Starrcade '88 one.

WWF WrestleMania VI - WWF World Heavyweight Championship & WWF Intercontinental Championship: Hulk Hogan (c) vs Ultimate Warrior (c)

These two are right in each other's face when the bell rings, and Warrior starts with a shove on Hogan comes back with another. They exchange a few lock-ups, and Warrior calls for a test of strength. Warrior gets control of it and has Hogan to his knees. Hogan makes his way back to his feet, then gets Warrior to his knees using his strength. Both men are up again now, but Hogan sweeps him down. Back up, they crisscross on the ropes, and Hogan catches him with a scoop slam, but Warrior no-sells it. Warrior hits a scoop slam on Hogan now, but Hogan sells it. Warrior clotheslines him over the top rope now, and Hogan sells his knee like a champ. Warrior goes out after him and kicks him while he's down. Hogan says he blew his knee out to the ref, but tells him to wait until he gets back in to decide if the match should be stopped. Warrior throws Hogan back inside the ring, and goes right for Hogan's knee. These two start fighting dirty with thumbs to the eyes and chokes. Hogan has a mini-Hulk-up now, and starts striking Warrior, and hits a big corner clothesline. Hogan really has control now with a big scoop slam, followed by a couple elbow drops. Fucking Hogan goes for a small package, this is great. Warrior's backup, and Hogan just goes crazy with the strikes now. Hogan hits a few power moves, but keeps getting two counts. Hogan locks in a reverse chinlock now for a little while, then hits some sick knees to the back of Warrior. Hogan hits a big back suplex, but still gets a two count. Warrior finally fights back to his feet, and breaks Hogan's momentum. Both guys double clothesline each other in the middle of the ring now. Both guys start making their way to their feet now, and Hogan hits some strikes on Warrior, but Warrior just shakes the ropes, and takes it. Warrior hits some big strikes of his own now, and really quickens the pace. Warrior hits a nice snap suplex, but only gets a two. Hogan gets himself caught in a big bearhug by Warrior now. This last awhile, and the ref starts checking Hogan's arm, but he gets it up before the third time, and starts fighting back. Warrior breaks it, and Warrior ends up knocking down the ref by mistake. Warrior goes up top, and hits a big diving axe handle, followed by a second one. Warrior then misses a big shoulder block, and Hogan drives the motherfucker head first into the mat :mark: The ref is still down though unfortunately, and Warrior is able to make it back to his feet. The referee is still down though as Warrior had Hogan down for a few seconds. Hebner finally gets back up, and Hogan barely gets his shoulder up, holy shit the crowd got hot. Hogan knocks Warrior outside the ring now, and follows him. They brawl a bit outside, with Warrior ramming Hogan into the post. Back in the ring, Warrior has control and hits a really weak gorilla press slam followed by a splash, but Hogan kicks out at two and Hulks up. He starts no-selling Warrior's strikes now, then hits his own combination complete with the big boot. Hogan misses the leg drop though, and Warrior hits the big splash for the win :mark: Holy fuck I loved that ending. I actually remembered the match being better than this though, but it was still good.

WCW Capital Combat (1990) - Steel Cage Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship: NWA United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger vs Ric Flair (c) (with Woman)

So apparently Luger just got released from the hospital the day of this match, and his leg is all fucked up. So this is more like a Hell in a Cell cage, than a standard steel cage. There isn't a roof but towards the top, the cage curves inwards to prevent escape, and it's tall. So before the match starts, Luger yells at the ref to check Woman as well and he finds something in her glove :lmao This finally starts, and Luger no-sells a chop which sends Flair outside the ring. Back inside, they lock up, and Luger takes control with his power. Luger looks to be trying to end it quick because of his injury, and the pace of this one is pretty quick. Flair tries to fight back, but Luger hits a big military press, followed by a second and it doesn't look like his knee is hurt too bad. Flair catches Luger with a thumb to the eye, but then Luger no-sells some more strikes. You'd think Flair would learn that those don't work so well against Luger's chest. Flair tries to climb the cage, and kicks Luger down when he tries to follow him. Flair takes control outside now, slamming Luger into the cage. Luger isn't no-selling these chops, and they almost hurt me. Flair then goes for the knee of Luger for the first time. Flair hits his patented knee drop to the head now, and he's really getting in to his offense now. Luger no-sells a suplex, however, and catches Flair with a clothesline. Why is the ref warning him against right hands, it's not like there's disqualifications. Back outside the ring, Luger is in complete control now and slams Flair into the cage. They both start climbing again this time, and Luger rams Flair a few times into the cage. Luger slams him into the post now, and Flair's busted open now. Back in the ring, Flair is bleeding pretty badly and asks for a break. Luger obviously doesn't give it to him, and apparently there's rope breaks in the cage match as Flair uses it to get out of a pin. They climb the cage again, and Luger just continues to slam Flair into the cage until he falls down to the floor. Flair catches Luger, but Luger blocks it and continues to ram Flair into the cage. Back in the ring, Flair's chops do nothing, and Luger just slams him down. Luger then hits a superplex on Flair, and somehow that hurts his knee really bad. Flair ends up getting up before Luger even because he's selling the knee, and Flair goes right for it. Flair's leg work is so great. Flair locks on the Figure-4, and uses the ropes for some leverage. The ref catches him and makes him break the hold, but Luger's leg took a lot of pain. The Horsemen make their way out now, Arn, Ole, and Sid, but there's not Windham for some reason. They attempt to climb the cage as Luger takes control of Flair in the ring. Luger got a CLOSE two count after a big clothesline as the Horsemen are still just outside the cage. Sting comes running out now and attacks the Horsemen, but I mean there's three of them, idiot. OH SHIT! El Gigante debuts in some of the most hideous attire I've ever seen :lmao The Horsemen leave, but someone Anderson found the cage switch? He raised it a little and Windham slides in it LIKE A BOSS and attacks Luger while he locked in Flair in a Torture Rack. WHAT! Flair got disqualified so he keeps the belt :lmao it's a fucking cage match how are there disqualifications. Well this was fun while it lasted but this ending was fucking terrible and these two have had much better matches. After the match, the Horsemen are killing Luger and the cage is lowered back so no one can get in. They raise it back up so Sting can get back in, and the Horsemen leave, but the damage was done. There was a severe lack of Robocop in this main event.
